No it doesn't get deleted. Your account simply gets deactivated and you can no longer access the forum by signing in.

Hi, can you please delete my account not deactivate it? Thanks! I don't mind my post being on the forum but it traces back to my username which I can't change for privacy reasons. Should've thought of that before. Thanks for your help!

Accounts/posts aren't deleted, but you can change your username in the topic linked below. Once this is activated by a Moderator, the user name will then automatically update all your previous your posts with the new name.
