Post by Syedashah51214 » Sun Feb 12, 2017 9:36 pm

Hello everyone. Anyone please answer my questions.

I am on Tier 2 dependant visa which is going to expire in april 2017.Few months back my husband got his British passport ( He was on ILR, Tier 2 Visa). Will i be extending the same Tier 2 dependant visa which was my husband's previous status?
If yes, please provide me with the appliction form link and what documents does it require?

Many thanks in advance.

Yes, but you must use the online form for Tier 2 General Dependent/Partner and not the other PBS dep form available in paper form.

Post by Syedashah51214 » Wed Mar 01, 2017 3:43 pm

Hello everyone. I am filling my Tier 2 dependant visa. I am dependant on my husband who became british citizen few months back. He was on ILR before that and on TIER 2 visa before getting his ILR. Application Form requires my husband details including his visa expiry ,visa route and visa type. What visa expiry should i enter and route? I mean his ILR or TIER 2?

Your answers are highly highly appreciated.

Regards

Did your husband get his ILR based on five years of Tier 2 or on 10 years Long Residence?

You should 'apply alone'. Your husband has ILR and if you put that in, you will get an incorrect amount to pay for the immigration health surcharge.

Alone, i.e. without spouse visa details

I can't see the online form so have no idea what your options are.

I mean the questions and options the form gives you online. I am certainly not going to register online with HO to go through the application form form.

Visa Route options include
*Discretionary Leave
*Further leave to remain
*Further leave to remain other
*Tier 1
*Tier 2
*Tier 2 PBS dependant
*Tier 4
*Tier 5

If i choose TIER 2 option in visa route, following options come:

Tier 2 (General) shortage occupation; over 3 years
Tier 2 (General) shortage occupation upto 3 years
Tier 2 (General) over 3 years
Tier 2 (General) upto 3 years
Tier 2 (intra company transfer) Graduate Trainee
Tier 2 (intra company transfer) long term staff over 3 years
Tier 2 (intra company transfer) long term staff upto 3 years
Tier 2 (intra company transfer) short term staff
Tier 2 (intra company transfer) skills transfer
Tier 2 (minster of religion)
Tier 2 (sportsperson)

They have also asked about his visa expiry date. Which visa are they talking about? TIER 2 OR ILR?

Many thanks

You select Tier 2 PBS Dependent. What does it ask after that?

Exactly Same issue here. If i enter my ILR Expiry date its asking to pay £1600 or If i select my Tier 2 Expiry Date its asking £0.00 IHS charge to Pay. Any one else has experienced this issue.

Tier 2 (General) over 3 years
Tier 2 (General) upto 3 years
Tier 2 (intra company transfer) Graduate Trainee
Tier 2 (intra company transfer) long term staff over 3 years
Tier 2 (intra company transfer) long term staff upto 3 years
Tier 2 (intra company transfer) short term staff
Tier 2 (intra company transfer) skills transfer
Tier 2 (minster of religion)
Tier 2 (sportsperson)

Contacted UKVI and they have advised to pay using the below link and not via the application. Currently the IHS link is unavailable.

Many thanks for letting me know. Did they tell you roughly how much time they would take to solve this technical fault?

And can I ask how did you calculate your immigration health surcharge. By putting my husband ILR expiry date, it has come upto £1600. ?
