Hi ,

Appreciate if someone could clarify on the 28 days clause for applying SET(O). Is it 28 days before the Visa Issue date ( First Stamping date ) or before the date entered in the UK.

I entered UK around 3 weeks after I got my Visa stamped.

Thanks in advance.

You can apply no sooner than within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the initial visa issue date.

Topics also merged. Please keep all questions in one thread.

Hi,

Need some clarification on the Immigration Details in SET(O) of other countried live in .
This is order of the immigration details ,starting latest:
Current ( Active) Passport
  • Netherlands - Business trip - 2months
  • USA - Business Trip - 3 months
Old(Expired) Passport
  • USA- 2 months
  • Contains the B1 Stamping for USA.
Now the question do I need to mention about all my trips along with the old & current passports or is it enough to mention about only the trips in the current passport ?

Thanks

You need to mention ALL trips you have taken for the 5 years you are basing your application on, regardless of which passport it is in.

Note that the question you have posted asked about countries LIVED in, not visited.

Hi,

Just to make it clear on my trips , I started living in the UK since Sep-2015 to till date.I visited my home country , India, few times for holidays during this period, for which I have got the leave absence letters from my employers and I am producing them as part of SET(O) application .

All other trips that I mentioned in my previous post ,were prior to entering the UK.To be precise:
  • Netherlands- 2014
  • USA -2011
  • USA-2008
So, from your reply to the previous post , I don't need mention about these trips ( other than India) as these did not happen during 5 year period in the UK and more over they were short term viists only.

Appreciate clarification on this.

Thanks

This reply was made without dates on my trips and now that all my trips were befre my 5 years tenure in UK , do I sill need to mention about them in my application ?

Thanks

Obviously not. You have to list absences only during your qualifying period.

Hi,
I submitted my SET(O) application on 27th July and on 5-Aug-2020, I received an email saying that I am eligble of for resuing the the biometrics. I didn't opt out from using the IDV app and yet to receive any invite/link to start using the IDV app.

My question is , do I need to upload the documents required on the IDV app or can I upload them on UKVCAS ( sophra steria ) website.

Also ,some where during the application processe, I found that my application is valid until mid of September ( not excatly sure about the date). How does this impact me , if there is any delay in receiving IDV app invite/link ?

Appreciate suggestions/advices on this.

Thanks

You have an option to upload documents via UKVCAS and submit it to UKVI even before biometrics.
You can also use the IDV app to upload documents.
Once uploaded via UKVCAS, you will be able to view the same on IDV also. So no need to upload again.
Also ,some where during the application processe, I found that my application is valid until mid of September ( not excatly sure about the date)
I can not understand what you mean. However, I am assuming you mean that a deadline was given for you to submit your biometrics. 2 months deadline applies in normal circumstances. But due to corona no one will be penalised. So you can ignore the deadline.
