Is my ILR application withdrawn because I travelled outside the UK?

Hello

I travelled to France after submitting my application (and attending biometrics appointment). Seeing that I had my passport and I still had 2 months left on my BRP card before my leave expired I didn’t realise that I wasn’t allowed to travel. Only after looking online did I realise that an application is considered automatically withdrawn post travel outside the UK.

My question, is there any way to find out if my application has in fact been withdrawn?
Is there a chance that HO isn’t aware of my trip?
Would I receive any communication that my application has been withdrawn?

I submitted my application for Indefinite Leave to Remain visa Spousal (5 year) on 5 August 2021 and enrolled biometrics on 13 August.

Obviously if my application has been withdrawn I need to make another one soonest so that I don’t overstay. My current leave expires on 16 December.

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Stevie

Thanks Vinny. Do you know if there is a way to find out if an application has been withdrawn? I know the guidelines say automatically but is there anyway my trip may have gone unnoticed?

Or do I simply cut losses and make another application?

Home office records every entry and exit. Do not try to play with the system.

The caseworkers will check the entry/exit records. If they find out that you left the UK, your application will be treated as withdrawn
