Document question for ILR Application (Set O) - Single Applicant

Hello, may I ask a question about ILR document? I am working in the UK with Skilled worker visa. I checked the questions asked by other people, the document list for ILR is: your latest payslip and bank statement, an employer letter, LIUK pass and proof of your English language level.

For the employer letter, does it need my previous employers to prove my working experience or just the current employer's letter to prove my current role?

thank you for your kind reply.

SCO code and job title-employment letter for ILR

I can submit my ILR application next week. But I have a question about the employment letter. Do I need to mention my job title and SCO on the employment letter?

If yes, my questions are:
1. My SCO was 1133 before, but it is 1134 now. Will it be a problem if I use 1134 now?

2. This is my 3rd role at the same company, but I don't know what title the visa representative of my company updated to the UKVI. My company changed the visa representative company two months ago. I asked my HR department which job title was updated for the UKVI a month ago, but I still haven't received an answer yet. Will this be a problem if the job title on my letter is different from the one which UKVI has?

Thanks for your kind reply.

You were already advised on the employment letter above. I suggest that you read it again :!:

1. The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes assigned to each role have been simply updated from the 2010 codes to the 2020 codes, so your old SOC and the new 2020 SOC should effectively refer to the same role/title. You should use the equivalent 2020 SOC to determine your salary requirement for ILR. Enter your job title on the CASCOT occupation coding tool to find out the correct SOC 2020.

CASCOT occupation coding tool : https://cascotweb.warwick.ac.uk/#/class ... on/soc2020

Read: All you need to know about ILR salary requirements under the Skilled Worker route

2. They cannot just change your job role as they wish. Any major changes of role and responsibilities needs a new skilled worker visa application with a new assigned SOC

Hi Zimba, Thank you for your reply, as always.
I didn't know the CASCOT coding tool. I checked it and all my 3 different roles fall to 1134/02, but there are different job titles under this code. I knew my title was “Commodity Sourcing Manager” when I applied for the Skilled Work Visa. I am not sure which title the company's legal representative updated to the UKVI when I got the current role. If the representative used "procurement manager", but I chose "sourcing manager" on my employment letter. Will it be a problem for my application? (My HR still still hasn't replied to me).

What does 'company's legal representative updated to the UKVI' mean ?? They do not send anything to the UKVI. Your employer determines the SOC when allocating it for your visa. If your HR cannot tell you what is your SOC, then I am not sure what you expect here.

Your SOC will be whatever your employer says, so you need to base everything off of that.
The SOC of a sourcing manager will be 1134/02

What does 'company's legal representative updated to the UKVI' mean?--- I meant they reported my changes in jobs to the Home Office (or UKVI )after I changed to a different role. I thought the report was mandatory. If they did, I am not sure what the job title they reported for my change. As long as the SCO is correct, does the job title matter shown on the employment letter matter much for the ILR application?

Any change must be a new role within the same occupation codes, so the title does not matter. Any other role change requires the relevant SOC assigned and requires a new visa
Different role in the same occupation code
S9.10. You can continue to sponsor a worker if they change to a different role within the same occupation code (including where the occupation code has changed as a result of the transition from SOC 2010 to SOC 2020 occupation codes)
