As there is no timeline thread for EEA nationals applying for a document certifying permanent residence since the 12th November rule change, I would like to make one to see how long it takes for others. Please reply ONLY if you are an EEA citizen who has applied for the PR document, not an non-EEA citizen applying for a PR card.

Here is my timeline:

EU national, in UK since 1999

Application sent by special delivery: 18.11.2015
Home Office received the application & signed: 19.11.2015
Application fee was taken from card: 21.11.2015
Confirmation email: Never sent
PR Certificate + ID + supporting documents received: 07.01.16 (Letter dated 29 December 2015)

So all in all, it took about 7 weeks, not bad given that it was holiday period as well.

The supporting docs I sent are: Letter from tax office, letter from employer, 6 P60s, ID card

On the application form, I only supplied employment details and absences from UK for the last 5 years rather than the whole period I've been in UK.

Hey folks - thank you for all the information you've posted. It's an invaluable resource. I've applied for a residency document myself, after having massively delayed my application for citizenship (hence I'm now paying the price for my procrastination...)

Like most people, I'd love the certificate to arrive well ahead of April's fee increase so I can get my citizenship application with time to spare (after 15 years in the country, it's funny how it now feels that I've literally run out of time!). I have to say, had it not been mentioned in this board, I would have never got wind of it. A 25% increase is nothing to be sniffed at! I'm hoping that the 7-week turnaround period still applies.. I am quite nervous that I haven't had a confirmation email yet!

Oh and finally some good news for me

While I was away in London for the last couple of days, my DCPR turned up at last! The "we missed you" card was waiting for me when I got home at midnight so I went straight to the post office this morning and picked it up. Ironically it arrived on Thursday morning, 2 hours after I had left to catch a train. The letter is dated 22/01/15

Total time from them receiving the application to me receiving DCPR - 9 weeks and 3 days. Now I just need to pass Life in the UK (going to book for next week) and wait for my new passport to arrive (also should be next week) then it's ALL SYSTEMS GO

I haven't gone through my supporting documents yet, but at first glance everything is there. They did not send back though the folder I had put everything in.

So it took basically 6 weeks. My case was quite complex due to my long period of illness. On the other hand I organised everything very well and labeled all documents by year. I suppose this might have helped.
