Non-British Child Born Overseas to ILR Parents

Post by arshia_raheem_2_1_0 » Fri Apr 19, 2024 7:34 pm

My three children were born overseas. I have renewed my ILR through 'Returning Resident Route'. I want to settle again in the UK with my children who have never been to the UK. Can any expert please provide me information with the following:-

1. Can I apply for ILR directly or do I need to apply for a family visa?
2. Please do provide a link to the suitable form.
3. What types of Appendices do I fill in?
4. How much time will it take for my children to attain an ILR officially after entering the UK?

I'm finding it very hard to find proper and trustworthy guidance anywhere, I would be very grateful to any expert who helps me out here.

Thank you in advance :)

Where is the other parent?

Is the other parent also applying for a visa?

How old are the children?

My partner also renewed ILR through 'Returning Resident Route' with me.

My younger children aged 9, 6, 3 years old have never been to the UK, I want to apply ILR for them.

My other two children aging 15 and 12 have ILR and British Citizenship respectively.

We all lived in India because my husband was sent to India by a UK based company to establish a sister company in India.

Thank you for your swift response.
Please can you clarify the following?

1. What is the difference between ILE and ILR? What are the steps towards ILE? Can I apply for ILE from india?
2. Please do provide a link to the suitable form.
3. What types of Appendices do I fill in?
4. How much time do we need to stay in the U.K to attain ILR for my my children?

Thank yo soo much for helping out. I have started filling in the form you have sent. I am stuck on this one last thing.
It gives 6 options, out of which i am confused between below two.
how would I know which category is mine?

Non-british child of a parent (granted permission to be in the UK before 9 july 2012)

Non-british child of a parent (granted or currently applying for permission to be in the UK on or after 9 july 2012)

I lived in U.K since 2009 on work permit. Both me and my husband got ILR in May 2013. we both got ILE (returning residents) in January 2023.

Me and my husband has ILE through returning resident visa since Jan 2023. We are now applying for our three kids below 10 years for ILE from India.

Please suggest what financial requirement would home office look for to grant ILE to our children?
I have work visa since 2008. ILR since may 2013. both me and my husband getting U.K payslips past 13 years.

In document upload it says Appendex 2 financial requirement? why does it say Appendex 2 when Appendix 1 for form VAF4A looks like the right form and there is no Appendex 2 any where. I have paid fee for 3 kids, dont wanna go wrong please help
