Morning everyone, I was wondering if someone can help me. I have applied for my citizenship on the 23rd of June by post. I have sent all mine and my partner original documentation thinking it would take less than 3 months. However we have a important holiday coming up and will need our passports back. Is there any way I can request this back without putting the application at risk??? If so, how can I do this ?
My time line is:

Eligibility criteria: 4 years marriage with s british citizen
Language criteria met: Ielts and life of uk test
Current nationality: Brazilian

Following on from Cheer_UP's comment re the potential delay in sending the letters post approval (perhaps they are sent in batches by default), it may be worth phoning the Nationality Helpdesk on 0300 123 2253. I've been reading the May thread and it could be a coincidence but rahim_dad (bottom of page 35) and I both phoned on Tue for the first time, were told we might hear in 2-3 weeks time and received our letters 3 days later.
