Strange that the UKVCAS doesn't have a notification on this.
You will be fine. Just attend your appointment on 21st Dec. No need to chase HO for confirmation.anan_88 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 11:48 amStrange that the UKVCAS doesn't have a notification on this.
Anyways, I must thank you CULLINAN. I did login just past midnight and was able to book an appointment for 21 Dec 2020. I've also phoned the Home Office and they said that a lot of people have faced the same issue (no appointments) and that these "30 day" messages are auto-generated. They also took my information (case ref, application date, appointment date) to get back to me to further confirm the status of the application. Fingers crossed.
Congrats! which email address did you send email to pls?MALCOM2 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 4:55 pmThanks a lot member on this forum. Thanks cuIlinan as well. just received email that my citizenships application is successful. I’m just waiting from approval letter . I did apply 1 July 2020 and on 28 of August I did received idv app for biometric reuse. I did use the idv app the same day. And I was just waiting for my application decision, and on 24 of October I did receive another email from Nationalitycovidukreminder to book my appointment before 45 days otherwise my application will be rejected as invalid. So I did book another appointment with UKVCAS for 20 of November 2020 and I did a physical biometric appointment on 20 November. On Monday 23 of December I did email them about the progress of my application and They told me that they will contact in 20 working days . And today i did received email that my application as been successful. Please don’t give up . If u get a email to book for physical biometric just go for it . Idv is slow and is a new system. Good luck to everyone. Anything you want to know I’m ready to answer you . Thanks and god bless you all .
Congrats @Malcom2.Thanks a lot member on this forum. Thanks cuIlinan as well. just received email that my citizenships application is successful. I’m just waiting from approval letter
You already got the approval letter in email. You will only get the ceremony invitation letter now.
You should see at the top of this forum. There is a dedicated group for citizenship ceremonies. Carry on there. The backlog seems to have much subsided. You will get up to date info there.
Have you received any kind of correspondence after your dual submission? Have you by any chance received a UKVI feedback survey?EvanEdinger wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 11:50 amJust firing off that I'm a mid June application who's still waiting for any sign of life from the home office![]()
This means that your enquiries are not yet completed and not passed on to the CW to make a decision yet.recoba2020 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 6:53 pmHi, all I'm a July applicant, I submitted in person biometrics in August. I sent an email last week to (FurtherNationalityEnquiries) asking about an update. Today, I received an email saying your application is awaiting allocation to a caseworker. I was not expecting that. I thought of sharing this with you, so if people are waiting since Jun/Jul there is a possibility that your case hasn't been looked at yet.
Thanks for the clarification. Much appreciated.CULLINAN wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:23 pmThis means that your enquiries are not yet completed and not passed on to the CW to make a decision yet.recoba2020 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 6:53 pmHi, all I'm a July applicant, I submitted in person biometrics in August. My Checks are in process so wait until they are done !EvanEdinger wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 11:50 amJust firing off that I'm a mid June application who's still waiting for any sign of life from the home office![]()
@Timmo @mstan, any update on your application? I also received the 45 days reminder email but ignored it as an automated message and the IDV app showed the status as submitted. Have mailed biometrics @ HO so waiting to hear back if there are any issues. However, I see a number of users have booked a physical appointment (in addition and subsequent to IDV submission prompted by the 45-day email) and have heard back on the decision. So wondering if the IDV submissions who received 45-day emails are cases with some issues and may need a physical appointment? Any thoughts?timmo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 9:17 amI just called this morning, first thing. Took 10 minutes to get through, but they were really great - super professional and straight to the point. In my case at least, they've confirmed the system has generated this email automatically and in error as it has no knowledge of the UKVCAS/IDV system. *phew*ar1234 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 7:19 pmI received the same 45-day reminder email on 31st morning. The first couple of options I tried were each dead-ends, with automated messages essentially telling me they could not provide me with additional information. The third option I tried directed me to the Coronavirus Information Help Centre (0800 678 1767). I got through to a human on that line pretty quickly, but unfortunately the person directed to contact UKVCAS instead (0844 892 0232), as "we've been getting a lot of calls about this lately, and they're the ones who will know more about your specific circumstance" (paraphrase). Searching that number pulls up some pretty poor anecdotes about very long wait times, so I'll DM them on Twitter first and see how that goes (thanks cullinan).
All it takes is one email and all the application anxiety comes flooding right back!
Thanks everyone for posting so far, this makes me feel better.
I received the same email this morning (having submitted via IDV on the 11th September). I'm sure booking appointments is no longer a possibility given lockdown 2.0
I'll be sure to contact UKVCAS directly to confirm, but its helpful to know that so far this seems to have been sent in error.
No new appointments released between 28 November – 1 December 2020
All UKVCAS Service Points will be closed from 12pm (midday) 24 December until 7am on 29 December due to the Christmas Bank Holiday period. As a result, no appointments will be available to book during these dates.
Currently, new appointments are released into our booking system 28 days in advance. As a result of the Christmas Bank Holiday period, this means we will not be releasing any new appointments into our booking system for 4 days between Saturday 28 November – Tuesday 1 December.
Please login to your UKVCAS account on Wednesday 2 December if you are looking to book an appointment from 29 December onwards.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
I am also a June applicant, I am waiting to write another email on the 3rd of June when my 6 months kicks in. It's really frustratingrecoba2020 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 6:53 pmHi, all I'm a July applicant, I submitted in person biometrics in August. Its just my thought and opinion...I too had the 45 days email for 2 minor applicants and later booked appointment and later received approval and UKVCAS cancelled the booked in physical appointments.ar1234 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 11:17 am@Timmo @mstan, any update on your application?
