I remember Sushdmehta has provided us with a link stating that a person can hold different kinds of visas?
Will Tier 2 override tier 1 because they are both work category visas?
No offence meant just wanted to know little more about it.
Thanks
Thanks TVN.tvn_ramesh wrote:Only point i am sure his Tier1(G) Visa will be overridden by Tier2(G) because:
1. Both are Visa's to work and live in UK
2. With Tier2(G) You can work only for the employer who provided you with CoS and SLicense;
3. In point 2 he can work based on the Working and Conditions
4. I think the point mentioned by Sush works well for Businessvisa or General/Visitor visa along with Tier1/Tier2...

regardsECB10.5 Applying for another visa but in a different category wrote:An applicant may hold more than one valid entry clearance, for example a regular traveller already holding a longer period multiple visit visa can be issued with a visa for another purpose. When issuing a second visa, the applicant should be advised to explain to the Immigration Officer on arrival in which capacity he/she is seeking entry to the UK.
My two cents - on how it will work (based on my understanding of ECB10.5:tvn_ramesh wrote:Only point i am sure his Tier1(G) Visa will be overridden by Tier2(G) because:

Can I have more than one visa? wrote:It is not possible to hold more than one visa or entry clearance. If your circumstances change you should always inform the Home Office before you leave the UK so that your permission to stay can be curtailed. Once your permission to stay has been curtailed you will be able to apply for a new visa overseas.
