OK, I will ensure that I go back to UK before 90 days. I heard somewhere that: short absences abroad needs to be consistent with annual paid leave. I dont think I will be able to find a job in a weeks time and therefore will not be able to prove it as an annual paid leave. Pls comment.sushdmehta wrote:Under current rules, absence of more than 90 days in a single trip may require you to apply for additional extension(s).

thanks. just wanted to be sure about the 28 days thing: it does include nonworking days?sushdmehta wrote:Absences are absences! It is up to you to prove (when you need to prove so) whether they were consistent with annual leave or work related or for some other personal reason(s).
Absences from UK on account of annual leaves are discounted, as also absences due to work commitments (business trips abroad) when supported by letter from employer certifying such work related absences. Any absences over and above these permissible allowances are not discarded when assessing residential requirements for settlement under PBS route.
