Timescales for refund of application fees

Hi

I received a letter at the start of November 2010 from the UKBA informing me that my application was invalid and noting that arrangements had been made to return my fee.

However, it has been over 4 months now and I have still not received my fee. Please could someone confirm the average timescales for returning fees and how the fees are returned (eg by cheque).

I called the UKBA and the lady informed me that since the UKBA does not have timescales for doing anything, my only option was to wait. When I questioned whether it could take years, she said it was possible!

I really don't understand how they can be allowed to play with people's lives like that but let's not get started on that topic...

even my application has been rejected and i received a letter stating that arrangements have been made to return my fees and i stil didnt received it, is there any address or email address where we can request for refund

I have been waiting for refund for two months already. My application was invalid because of not sufficient fee paid.
Did you finally get yours? And how much time did it take in total? Thank you

I too am waiting for a refund. I've been waiting for 7 weeks so far - same situation as you Elena, they said I had paid the incorrect fee. I have sent a letter to the Charging Support Team and the Complaints Team and haven't had a response from either
