Visa for Newborn dependent child

Post by je » Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:57 pm

Dear friends.
Our child is born in UK 2011 January. my 1st extension in April 2013. I have'nt applied visa for my child since we did'nt plan to go out of UK.
I planned to apply for him with my extension. this way I could avoid the unncessary Visa fee.

Is there will be any problem if do this way. please recommend. Thank you very much in advcance.

No problem.

In my opinion, if your child is not travelling, then it's best not to apply for leave for your child. Consequently, there are no applications to fail. Moreover, your child will never overstay any limited leave, as there will be no leave (nor restrictions) to expire.

Click on links for more details.

Simply, if no application for leave to remain is made, then there's no application to fail. No application fee to pay. No (limited) leave to expire, etc.
