January 2014 - Naturalization Application Timeline

Hello,

I dont understand something.

My Fees went out of my account on 6 February. I called the HO this morning and they told me the fee has still not yet been cleared from there end.

Its cleared from my bank but not the HO.

What does this mean?

If the money was debited on 6 which was a Thursday 2 weeks ago...it should be all clear now..right? Its been longer than 6 working days. Does anyone know ?

In your acknowledgment letter it should say that your fee has been paid in full.

I didnt get any acknowledgment letter.

My case is I sent a request to the HO to get my Certificate corrected as it has slight spelling error.

On phone, the advisor guy said I should get some sort of correspendonce in next 3 weeks.

Im a bit woried now why they didnt clear my payment fee yet my bank cleared it.

Anybody from First week of January applications has any news or update?

Based on recent posts in December 2013 (and some November 2013), it appears that the January 2014 applications will start to see results/approvals by first week of March. Firstly, over half of December is yet to be decided, and secondly, the time being taken from the point of fee deduction/acknowledgement letter to the issuance of approval letter is approx 4 to 5 weeks. Much of the October rush is over/cleared. So hang on in there... Any comments?

  Average waiting time between Fee Debit and Approval Letter Date (FD2ALD): ~ 15 weekdays
  Average waiting time between Fee Debit and Approval Letter Receipt (FD2ALR): ~ 18 weekdays

Please bear in mind that my sample set for approval waiting times for January 2014 applications is small as we have only started seeing approvals in the last 24 hours. However, this is almost in line with December 2013 applications (from 22 approvals, average FD2ALD and FD2ALR were approximately 17 weekdays and 22 weekdays respectively). Of course, I understand that this metric is entirely down to the complexity of the application amongst other circumstances.

I have excluded the following applicants since date of receipt of one's application by the UKBA is the effective application date (if I am incorrect, please let me know, as I am merely going by the timelines posted):

• dadageer - a February 2014 applicant
  skyturk - another February 2014 applicant
  syedfarhatraza - not enough data, but guessing this should be a December 2013 application
