Advice on exdending FLP/ Spouse visa on benefits

Post by thedarkknightrises » Sat Aug 22, 2020 5:48 pm

Hi
Its my first time posting. Require urgent advice.
I have indefinite leave to remain. My wife and my son came to UK on spouse and dependant visa in March 2018. I was employed and meet the financial requirement when I applied for their visas. After they came to UK I became self employed and my salary was not enough so I applied for Universal Credit and housing benefits. Now their visas are due and I am worried that I can not apply their visa on FLR 5 year route because of the benefits.
Since my wife’s stay here in UK we had two daughters. Since they were born here and I have ILR they are British. So we now have three children. My older son is 5 and half year old who is on dependant visa and went to nursery and year one here in school. My two daughters are British. One is years and a half and the other one is only two months old.

Which category can I apply for their visas?

Any advice would be kindly appreciated.

Most likely FLR FP, which is a 10 year pathway. But wait for others to respond.

The eldest son, who was not born in the UK, will come under the same category as the less-privileged parent (in this case, the mother).

Thanks for replying so quickly.

1. Can i download the form and send it by post or should i fill it online. Which option is better.
2. What about the relevant documents etc passport, bank statements. Where do i send these documents. Do i send the original and the photocopies as a set for home office to keep.
3. What are the chances of me succeeding in this category with the benefits issue.

You can only apply online.

You scan and upload the online to the ukcvas portal after you have applied and paid online.

.
If you don't meet the financial requirement, there is no reason a FLR fp application will fail.

Thankyou CR001 for the clarification.

A few questions more

1. In flr fp category i do not need the A2 English language test.

2. What documents do i need to upload for the flr fp category. Will the form ask me for particular documents. Is there a list which i can check accodingly to make sure i have uploaded all the required documents.

Thanks

More questions :

1. I have filled the FLR (FP ) form and then i was taken to Health surcharge page but there it said
" Visa Type : FLR (M) ".

2. What about the documents and biometrics. After I finished paying the Application fee and Health surcharge i was taken to UKVCAS website to book an appointment for biometric but all the centers are closed or have no appointments available.

3. How do i upload all the documents? Where do i send the passports?

You will keep checking till you get appointment and or are contacted fro reuse of biometric data by HO
