Eu settlement scheme holder, Furloughed workers - Coronavirus

Post by k90252 » Tue Mar 24, 2020 12:08 pm

Dear all

I was granted five years Eu settlement scheme holder, as the uk lockdown, my employer asked us stay at home and do nothing. I am working for finance service.

As Furloughed workers - Coronavirus form government website I saw to qualify for this scheme, you should not undertake work for them while you are furloughed. This will allow your employer to claim a grant of up to 80% of your wage for all employment costs, up to a cap of £2,500 per month.

My question is can I take 80% salary from employer without problem? Is this considering public fund and will influence the permanent residence or settlement in the future?

Thank you.

It is NOT public funds. It is your EMPLOYER that claims the grant from HO to pay the salaries. It is not YOU making a claim.
