Unfortunately, due to a reason(not covid), I lost my job and looking forward to claim UC as a British citizen however my wife is on spouse visa who is due for her first extension next year July 2022. She has been working since arriving in UK but recently gone off sick being pregnant and expect to go Maternity from December 2021.
Few questions please?
1- Looking ahead, she/we won't be able to fulfil financial requirement but can I claim UC considering our current situation, and does this needs to be mentioned in extension application even at that time I stop claiming.
2- If I do claim, do I need to add her income which is now very low and basic SSC(Sick pay) or should I apply as single person which may trigger questions of non disclosures of household income.
3- Can she explain any specifications while extending her visa or she/we must fulfil the financial requirement anyway.
4- If I do get a job and we still can't fulfil the financial requirement, can I continue claiming and our joint household income(UC+MaternityPay+my any income) would contribute and cover financial requirement?
5- or, Can she go on another route for extension(Private Life Route)
