Do moderators provide immigration services?

Post by shahmir » Sun Oct 18, 2015 7:46 pm

Hi
Can I contact one of the moderators to deal with my immigration matters if they provide these services officially? I am reading moderators' posts here for years and because of their knowledge, I can trust them more than several others in the market. Thanks

Yes, but only online via posting to aid others, and even then is mods care to answer. The aim here is to share information, not private discourse.

I believe Wanderer did understand your request.
1. Moderators don't necessarily have a higher level of knowledge on immigration law than other members.
2. As moderators aren't legally qualified, they are unable to privately take on a member's immigration case.
3. As a safeguard, advice is given on the open forum to enable corrections should the advice be incorrect.

Post your questions openly and you should get the help you need.
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Backwards and forwards as in, wanderer saying you did not read his answer properly, and you saying he did not read your question properly.

I am trying to prevent it from going further.

what is it about you ILR tier 1?

The OP wants to engage a Mod officially to help his cause but that's against board policy and Mods are generally are either not Immigration advisers of if they are they are not allowed to solicit or respond to solicitations.

Aside from that the board is designed to help others and as such it's in everyone's interest to post queries here, and responses too, and not ask for help offline, PM or otherwise engage.

Personally I care not one jot if posters wish to circumvent these guidelines, but the rules is the rules.

Sorry if I appear brusque but I've contributed here for 10 years, good and bad (mostly bad!), my immigration issues resolved a long time ago but I continue to stick around, I just believe that free help is given freely and should be shared by all freely and not taken offline.

Obie, No it was Casa clarifying what Wanderer said. Anyway forget that.

I need 30 points in income section and the required income in my case is 50k.

I am very busy and looking for an immigration lawyer who could prepare my application in such a way that I get ILR in window. I don't want PEO to keep my passport and tell me to wait until they decide. It takes few months then? how many?

I got extension at PEO three years ago with same business and employment. At that point my salary was 18k and self employment income was 35k. Luckily got it in minutes without trouble.

Now due to family commitments i have to travel abroad in May with wife and kids. ILR is due in April. Now they are more strict about checking self employment cases and they ask for more evidence after you submit application at PEO. That's why i am looking for a specialist who organize my paperwork in such a way that there is least chance of application being deferred for further checks. I mean whatever the more evidence they ask to bring shall be submitted with initial application to avoid delays in decision. I believe I have everything that may be required to satisfy the caseworker.

Try and get the SA300 and SA302. Many case get deferred because of these, and if the accountant provides a detailed assessment of your accounts, then you should be fine.
