FLR(M) Second Extension

Post by Igaolora » Mon Aug 31, 2020 6:06 pm

My partner entered the UK on 21 Dec 2017 via the "family of settled person visa" route. She was granted a 6 month visa and we got married in the UK on Jan 2018. I am a UK citizen.

She applied for FLR(M) on 04 Apr 2018 and was granted a visa for 2.5 years.

Her BRP is valid until 22 Dec 2020.

I've read a some posts which say the earliest application date for a second FLR(M) extension is after 30 months stay in the UK.

Based on her UK entry date less 28 days, would I be correct to say she could apply for her FLR(M) extension from 24 May 2020.

What was the date of grant?? Whichever the date of grant was, you can apply after 29 months & 2/3 days.

The residence period starts from the date the flr m visa was granted.

A 6 months fiance visa does not count towards the residence requirment at all.

You don't state what the start date of the FLR M visa is?

The "Grant of Leave to Remain Five Year Partner Route" letter, is dated 24 May 2018. The BRP has the same issue date.

The 30 months minus the within 28 days starts counting from that date then.

Aim to apply for an extension around mid November.

The date of application is the date you submit and pay online and not the biometric appointment date.
