Post by joy2dworld » Thu Oct 14, 2021 3:06 pm

Please can someone advice on what to do. If i should write to them, who to write to and what law to put across in my letter. Thank you.

All you can do is write a letter to the same address you sent the application to. As you haven't got a reference number attach a copy of the personal detail pages, and proof of receipt (Royal Mail Track). The normal way these days is to apply online where you would at least get payment confirmation immediately, or in a few days. Applications will take months, whether online or on paper. Not sure what law you might quote.

you can email FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
but if you were eligible to apply online, you shouldn't have used the post as it significantly delays the processing.

I think your friend was mistaken for most people.
Most people who live in the UK and apply online are able to keep their documents while their application is processed.
