ILR - T2 General - NARIC Certificates

Post by anub2016 » Wed Nov 25, 2020 10:41 pm

Hi,

I intend to apply for the NARIC Certificates for my ILR Application through the T2 General route.

NARIC have recently updated their website to Register an Account with them and now ask to select a 'Field of Interest' from the dropdown. It is a mandatory field to select before the Account could be created.

The Link to create an Account with NARIC is as follows - https://www.naric.org.uk/Signup.aspx?option=1

I have a Bachelor's Degree in 'Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering' but I am sponsored to work with a Software firm as a Programmer (SOC 2136).

I believe my Degree falls under 'Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies' but my Job falls under 'Information and Communication Technology'.

Which of the the above two categories - 'Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies' / 'Information and Communication Technology' - should I select?

Is it better to select the one that matches my Degree?

Many Thanks.

Does not matter which one you select.

Many Thanks Cullinan.

I am wondering why they have added this field for an ILR applicant, if it does not have a relevance.

Do you reckon it is better to select the category closer to my Degree?

Also, are you able to confirm if my degree in 'Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering' would fall under 'Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies'?

This seems to be a generic field. No relevance with NARIC certification.

Hi,

I am on T2 General visa and applying for ILR.

What should I select in the following dropdown when applying for the NARIC Certificate - 'Please select your Immigration Tier'

Should it be - Tier 2 or Family (including Spouse), ILR and Citizenship?

Many Thanks.

Please do not start new topics with questions on the same application when you already have an existing thread where a lot of advice has already been given to you.

We are all unpaid volunteers and it is unfair to members offering advice in their free time when some members start multiple, often duplicate topics!!
