FLR(M) supporting proof of cohabitation documents

Post by mac9129 » Thu May 13, 2021 2:13 pm

Hi all

I'm a UK citizen and my wife is a non-EU national who is currently in the UK on a Spouse visa, with LTR until 11/11/2021.

On the basis that we can apply for FLR(M) up to 28 days before the 30 month anniversary of her UK entrance (28 days before 08/09/21 = 11/08/21), we'll be applying within a few days of 11th August 2021 - is this acceptable or could it cause issues when applying for ILR?

Also, with reference to the supporting documents required for FLR(M), we plan on doing the following:

June 2019: separate documents, Thames Water bill for me dated 27/06/19 + Barclays bank statement for my OH dated 12/06/19
December 2019: separate documents, First Direct bank statement for me dated 07/12/19 + Barclays bank statement for my OH dated 12/12/19
April 2020: separate documents, First Direct bank statement for me dated 07/04/20 + Nat West letter for my OH dated 08/04/20
August 2020: joint document, Council Tax bill in joint names dated 03/08/20
December 2020: joint document, IWNL water bill in joint names dated 14/12/20
March 2021: joint document, Council Tax bill in joint names dated 19/03/21
July 2021: TBC nearer the time

Are these documents likely to be satisfactory in terms of how they are spread out over the period and the officialness of the sources used?
Also, is it likely an issue that the first items we are using are from June 2019, when this falls outside of the 2 year period?
Do we need to cover from August 2019 to August 2021, July 2019 to July 2021, or otherwise?

Thanks in advance to anyone with the wisdom to help out here.

Are these documents likely to be satisfactory in terms of how they are spread out over the period and the officialness of the sources used?
You need items from 3 to 6 difference sources spread evenly for every 2 to 3 months in both names jointly or addressed to each of you individually.
Also, is it likely an issue that the first items we are using are from June 2019, when this falls outside of the 2 year period?
They need to be for 2 years preceding the date you submit and pay online.
Do we need to cover from August 2019 to August 2021, July 2019 to July 2021, or otherwise?
Two years preceding the date you submit and pay online.

FLR(M) sponsorship forms

Post by mac9129 » Sun Jul 25, 2021 4:50 pm

Afternoon

We are due to apply for my partner's FLR(M) in just over 2 weeks and having completed the application form, I'm unsure whether any accompanying forms need to be submitted also.

I recall with the initial spouse visa application we had to complete a VAF4 and a VAF4 Appendix 2 form, I believe we also submitted a SU07 sponsorship form.

For clarity, we will be making the application on the basis of my income only, as my partner does not meet the threshold and thus it is simpler to base it only on my income.

Can someone clarify on the above please?

Thanks

SU07 form was not and never has been required for a spouse visa. VAF4 and VAF4 Appendix 2 are only for applications outside the UK.

For FLR(M) extension, there is only one online form to complete : https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... 1626788862

That's good to hear, thank you.

On a side note, I've read elsewhere that:
With the co-habitation evidence there must be “no more than two from any one source” and that they "must cover the whole two and a half year period”.
I was under the impression that it was a maximum of 3 from any one source, with a minimum of three sources?

Also in relation to financial evidence, that “bank statements [must be submitted] for all bank accounts belonging to applicant and sponsor”.
Again, I was under the impression that only the bank account where the salary used to meet the financial requirement requires statements to be provided?

Could you kindly clarify the above for me, please?
