Re: Is cover letter necessary for SET LR?

Post by jason32 » Sat Sep 01, 2018 8:39 pm

One more thing guys, do I need to provide proof of address? what about the previous addresses, the form only has place for 2 addresses it doesnt mention how long back they want addresses from. I moved 2 addresses in last 1 yr or so is that enough?

One more silly question please but its kind of important, I am entering my travel in and out of UK according to the stamps on my passport. We know there are no exit stamps from UK but entry stamps are there in Pakistan, on my last visit the stamp says 18th Dec entry in Pakistan but I left the UK on 17th, should I enter the date on my passport or the actual flight date? theres no evidence of leaving on 17th?

Thanks guys please help.

No address proof needed.

You enter the date you LEFT the UK and the date you RETURNED to the UK.

Hi CR001... In my case I am providing all 3 passports which have the the entry stamps of home country and then entry stamps of UK on way my way back. now the stamping date is one day ahead of leaving the UK coz of time difference, do i put the date stamped on my passports or actual date leaving the UK? will it not be confusing for CW if i put the actual date and passport shows different date? thanks

I am going for my appointment tomorrow, just final checks please see if I am missing anything:

1. Passports
2. LIUK pass certificate
3. Masters degree and transcript from coventry uni
4. Current BRP
5. 2 Photos
6. 2 sets of photocopies of all docs and stamped pages in passports.

A paragraph before D14 says if you are not related to EEA then go to section E, so should I leave all of that blank or mention not applicable?

Exit dates are 1 day before arriving in Pakistan, basically one day before the entry stamps in Pakistan or should I just use the dates on stamps?

Addresses section only has space for 2 addresses, which for me covers only about 1 yr or so, is that enough or should I mention my addresses from last 5 yrs?

CR001 please reply...thanks in advance :)

Successful SET LR

Post by jason32 » Wed Sep 12, 2018 3:48 pm

Hey guys,

This is a great forum and has always helped me getting my visas. I recently got my ILR LR in person. All the advice I got from here was awesome...thanks guys.

Now the next step is to apply for my wife and kids, she's on Tier 2 and would be applying for ILR next month or so. I have a few questions:

Shes a doctor working with NHS, she sent her ielts academic with her tier 2 application. It has expired now, will she be able to use it for ILR too? is ielts Academic acceptable now? Also does it have to be from an approved center or will they accept it as it was accepted in previous application?

Thanks

If the test and the test center are still approved, they will accept it.

Test is ielts academic so its fine but the test center was wraxham in wales which is not in the list anymore but they accepted it in the initial tier 2 application?

Post by jason32 » Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:02 pm

Re: SET (0) Sample employer letter?

Post by jason32 » Sun Dec 09, 2018 8:43 pm

So do we have to get 2 letters from the employer?

1. Job and salary confirmation
2. Paid leave?

My wife did get her maternity leave in 2015 which was paid in full for the first 3 months and then half for the remaining months. Does the employer has to mention that too?

Also we have 3 kids, 2 of thrm (13 and 10) are my wife’s dependants tier2 general whihc is expiring in March 2019. Due to all the costs involved we can’t apply for them at the same time as my wife, can we just apply for my wife first and when she gets her ILR then apply for kids in March just before their tier 2 dependant visas expire?

Please help...thanks

Maternity leave?

Post by jason32 » Tue Dec 11, 2018 4:28 pm

Hey guys,

My wife is applying for her ILR set 0 this week, she’s on tier 2 general and we have 3 kids (13, 10 and 3) the older 2 were born in Pakistan.

My questions:

Does my wife need to get a letter from employer about her paid annual leaves and maternity leave? She only went to Pakistan once for 30 days in the last 5 yrs. was in UK for the whole duration of her maternity leave.

Other thing is do we have to apply for kids ILR at the same time? At the moment they r dependents of my wife tier2 general which is expiring in March 2019, I want to apply for her ILR first because that’s a lot of money if we apply for all 3 of them and it gets refused for some reason.

Please help?

Thanks

1. She needs an absence letter for all absences. Being on maternity is not an issue.

2. HO is likely to question the children's status as you already hold ILR. Be prepared for a possible delay if this occurs as HO write to you by post they don't call you to ask.

Ok but if we chose premium service £3000 even then does it takes time now?

1. All absences from uk. The employer(s) must write the letter.

2. There is no longer a premium same day decision service. It has been closed.

Ok great thanks just one last question and I am not sure what to do about the kids applications:

Kids 13 and 10 both are on dependent visas of my wife tier 2. But they have only been her dependent for the last 4 yrs before that they were on my dependent visas.

Since they r both under 16, should I just apply for their ILR or should I apply for ILR dependents for them?

Also my youngest daughter 3 was born here, do I need to apply for her now or could that be done later?

Thanks

There is no minimum 5 years for kids. They can apply with your spouse for ILR.

A UK born child does NOT require ILR if you plan on registering the child as British on form MN1.

Ok great that’s a relief. This new online form has some confusing questions can u please help me this:

Date you entered the UK
This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started:

That’s on the kids form, they entered the UK on my dependent visa in 2011 but they switched to their mothers dependent tier 2 in 2014. Should I enter the 2014 date? But they were already in UK.

Please help?

Thanks

Ok about the employer letter should it say about appropriate salary according to appendix J or should it say according to Tier 2 sponsors guide?

The letter I received my the employer says appendix J?

I know that’s a minor thing but you know Ukva wants everything in perfect format.

Please help someone?
