MN1 Online Application

Post by moal11 » Thu Sep 03, 2020 8:06 pm

Dear All,
I am intending to apply for my children under the MN1 route. However, I have a question regarding the:

"Who does this email belong to?
xxxx@mail.com

- The applicant

- An immigration adviser based in the UK

- Someone else"

Obviously "xxxx@mail.com" is my email address. Many thanks...

Regards,
Moal

Another silly question, I am applying for 2 children, is it fine to have the same referees for both of them?

Dear All,
Few final questions to raise regarding the MN1 online application form for my children:

- In the required documents they asked for "A letter of consent from xxxxx's parent(s) or legal guardian(s)". Is it a must to do that or is it something common or I did something in my application wrong? Knowing that my children age is 6 and 4 years old.

- In the required documents they asked for "If xxxxx told us that their parent is a British citizen then you must provide us evidence of their citizenship. This could include their British passport, a certificate of citizenship or their birth certificate". I am not a british citizen or yet applied, I am only on ILR. So, is there something wrong in my application? I can't proceed forward without ticking this box.

- For the following question "Are either of the parents of the child (as stated in this application) applying for naturalisation as a British citizen on an AN form?" I said "no", is it right or should I say yes. Again I am not a british citizen or yet applied.

Your Kind reply is highly appreciarted.

Moal

1) Simple 2 lines letter signed by both parents giving consent for registering your son as British Citizen is required. I have also shared a template somewhere in a previous thread.

2) Tick to proceed. Does not apply to you. Question says “IF.”

3) Correct answer will be NO.

RE: Permission to register XX as British Citizen

To Whom it May Concern

I hereby confirm that I, XX (DOB) am the father & I, XX (DOB) am the mother of (Child Name) D.O.B (XX)

We both consent to this application for the registration of XX as a British Citizen.

Both parents sign

Many thanks Cullinan super as usual. May I ask on the decleration which choice you picked:

(a) I am an applicant and I am authorised to act on behalf of the other applicants and have discussed and confirmed the contents of this application with them

or

(b) I am a representative of the applicants and have been authorised to act on their behalf and have discussed and confirmed the contents of this application with them

Knowing that I am filling the form on behalf of my children.

Guy,
I did submitted the MN1 application form of my children (6 and 4 years) yesterday (thanks for all your help) and I received the automated message today that my case is under consideration. However, I still have not submitted the documents. When I should do that? or is there anytime frame for that?

It is a generic email. It does not mean it is already under consideration. It merely means you have submitted an application.
When I should do that? or is there anytime frame for that?
Anytime before the biometrics appointment

Many thanks Char for the fast reply. Will at this age need to submit biometrics? I mean to book an appointment or use the IDV app.

Yes. ALL applicants for any UKVI application have to do biometrics. Children are not exempt.
I mean to book an appointment or use the IDV app.
You will be emailed by UKCVAS on whether they are eligible for reuse or if you need to book an appointment. It is not a choice you can make.

Dear All,
I am a bit confused between:

- If xxxxx has a passport then provide this with your application. If xxxxx does not have a passport then you must provide another officially-issued identity document. This could include an official travel document or national identity card.

and

- The passport issued by country xx for xxxxx.

I think it is just the same asking for the passport....

Also, when they ask for the passport, is it only the current passport or the previous one as well? As this is not clear in the required documents.

Finally, for the passport, should I make scan for the whole passport or only the first page?

Many thanks...

Who is xxxxx referring to? The child? You have to clear that first.

Current passport only. Bio page.

Note even if child does NOT have any passport, his entitlement to be registered as BC does not get affected.
