It is a generic email. It does not mean it is already under consideration. It merely means you have submitted an application.I received the automated message today that my case is under consideration.

Yes. ALL applicants for any UKVI application have to do biometrics. Children are not exempt.Will at this age need to submit biometrics?
You will be emailed by UKCVAS on whether they are eligible for reuse or if you need to book an appointment. It is not a choice you can make.I mean to book an appointment or use the IDV app.
ooops....I uploaded the whole passport as it was not clear for me if it is only the first page or the whole thing. Does it make any difference?
