Its a yes..... as per the faq section of the BHC website.

I just have a couple of doubts...It will be good if you guys can clarify it.

VAF1 Form: Correspondence Address: Do we have to give ADDRESS PROOF...
Now for my HSMP I had given my friends address... now for EC do I put my Friends address or my address...does this address bear some importance..Kindly throw some light on this.

I am planning to show a bank balance of 4.5L
I am also planning to get a letter from a an uncle of mine(UK citizen) to fund me if need arises: and also a letter for accommodation..the supporting docs I am planning to provide are:
1) 6 months bank statement
2) 6 months payslip
3) P 60
4) House registration docs
5) Council tax Receipt
6) Utility Bills
Are these docs ok?

My friend is not able to give his House registration docs ....will that be an issue... the rest he is eager to give...please comment...

I had applied my EC on 2nd July and got it today. They took a long time to process...not sure why it is...

Its better to travel within 3 months of your EC stamping. This is because you wont waste the time in India and could land here so early.

Congrats for your visa. what sort of verification was done by integra with your employer.?

If i had worked in 2 companies i guess the integra would verify both or they do the current employer only?

Hi All,

Today moring I submitted my file to VFS. (25/07/2007) INDIA
The only thing I felt while dealing with the VFS guys is, they dont want understand anything, you need to make them understand every possible detail.

1. Paid 17,56 * 3 (Myself + Wife + Daugher) = 51,168
2. After paying the amount I was given the medical check form, and was asked to get it done as soon as possible.

Will keep updating as soon as I receive the updates.

Hi Vishal,

For all HSMP applicants Integra in mandatory. One doesnt have any option to choose. All the HSMP applicants have to go through IntegraScreen.
Before you apply for the EC make sure you download or get the Integra and Points ProForma forms from the VFS and then apply.

I received my Visa today stamped for 2 years.

My time line:

Submitted Application to VFS: 09 July 2007
Forwarded to British High Commission: 10 July 2007
IntegraScreen verification (Company): 19 July 2007
IntegraScreen verification (University): Unknown
Visa Received on : 25 July 2007

I thank you all for all the guidance and inputs.
It wouldn't have been possible for me to succeed without help from this forum.

Thanks so much.

They verify with the Current Employer. They call the HR , and they send them a formal email with a set of questionare.

Were are u applying from?

Hi all,

I had applied for EC on 23rd July. Just wanted to clarify one thing:

1) I had given a letter from my father that he is giving me funds for me in the initial period.

But, after going through the posts i find that I hadn't given any bank statements of his accounts nor in any affidavit.

Will this be a problem? Has anyone received EC without these documents under similar circumstances?

Your replies would be of great help.

Hi All,
I applied my EC on 23rd July. Very next day I checked the status online at http://www.vfs-uk.co.in/index.aspx and came to know my application is forwarded to BHC. Now seems they have removed the "Application tracking" link from the site.

Any other source where I can check the status of my apllication?

The same problem ive been facing. I applied on 25/07/2007 and was told by vfs to check the application online. But it seems they have removed the link for the maintnence.
I have gone through the medical check-up
Let me know when u all go through the integra checks.

Did VFS ppl tell u to go thro medical test? I was told tht I would be called for medical if required.

and is ther any way I can know the status that they have started the Integra background check? I cannot check with my present/previous company HR as there are so many ppl in the HR dept and donno who will be contacted.

The day i submitted my file (25/07/2007), VFS ppl gave me the medical form and asked me to get it done as soon as possible. The very next day (26/07/2007) i got it done and reports have been sent to the high commission, today (27/07/2007) i checked with the hospital.

Even im wondering how it is possible. Coz as far as i know medical checkup is the last stage of the HSMP visa.

Medical checkup is not required for all hSMP applicants. This is what I picked up from the BHC website (do not know if this applies to HSMP too as it is not a work permit):

Medical Examination For Work Permit Applicants

If you intend to travel to the United Kingdom to work in either the food & beverage industry, or in the healthcare industry, you will need to have a medical examination before your visa is issued.
