ILR for dependents

Post by elreedy2000 » Thu Apr 09, 2015 9:57 pm

Hi
I got my ILR as tier 2 general before my wife and kids, because my wife needed her passport to travel back urgently for family reasons. She's eligible to apply for the ILR. I have 2 questions if you don't mind:

1. Her dependent visa dated back before 9 July 2012; regarding the time outside UK, how many days she's allowed? and how is it calculated? [Her first visa was granted in 2011 and was extended in 2013]

2. Which application form do I need to fill for her and the children?

Your help is much appreciated, thanks

1. Absences should generally be limited and for good reason. How long was she absent for?

2. Set(O) form is she is a Tier 2 dependent.

- For the last 2 years she's been going back on Holidays, total is less than 3 months per year.

- She currently has tier 2 general.

- In the application form, what should I write regarding section 12 ( category she's applying within) as there's no matching category for her situation (this is the recent April 2015 version)

- What other supportive evidence required?

Thank you loads for your help

Tier 2 General in her own right or Tier 2 dependant?

Section 12, if necessary, i would say 12T, perhaps one of the other mods could confirm.

Other docs would be 2 years proof of cohabitation etc.

Not the form you need, but it gives good examples of what you can use to cover the 2 years for cohabitation.

FLR(M) form, Section 13, page 59 onwards.
