One question, How did you find out the passport has gone for printing a day after your interview?

I have got a question. I phoned my council several times about booking of a private citizenship ceremony. All the time they ask my details and after that they tell me you have to wait for a message. 15 days are gone since the date I have received my invitation letter. The council didn't send me anything so far. Is it ok? By law I have to book my citizenship ceremony within 21 days after receiving a citizenship invitation. I started to worry about it. What should I do if the council would not reply in a week's time?....

You can book your ceremony online , just follow this link

Keep a record of the reference number you get and contact Home Office Citizenship support on below email.

Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

They will get back to you with the resolution.

Thanks. They text me saying passport printed today, but when I received today was a day before I received the text. Was printed after my interview ..same day

I am about to apply for passport following receipt of naturalisation certificate. Reading this thread has confused me somewhat on the best method of applying i.e. online or post.

Can someone please summarise the benefits of one over the other in terms of timescales, easiness, cost etc. So that i can decide and proceed with my application.

Better to do online, cost & time and other factors remain same.
Applying online is better as you can track the process.

Date application received by IPS: Monday 11/5/2015 (Royal mail tracking)
Date application received by IPS: Tuesday 12/5/2015 Online tracker showed it as received
Date of return of documents: Monday 8/6/2015
Date of receipt of interview letter: Not received
Date of Passport Appointment: Not required

Date of Passport Dispatched: Friday 29/5/2015 (Online status)
Date of Passport Receipt: Monday 1/6/2015

Processing time was 15 working days (3 weeks), from the receipt of documentation to dispatch of the passport and another week for the return of the supporting documents (without the photocopy of my Irish passport).

The DHL driver rang me to check if it was ok to drop my passport in the letter box and if he could do the same thing for the supporting documents when they arrive, even though there is nothing on the package saying it contained a passport or was from the passport office. They might as well have written British passport in big red writing across the envelope

I sent my passport application via postoffice ( next day recorded delivery [ no check and send] ) on 05 June. I recieved text message on 09 June saying its under processing.

Method of payment was credit card and so far no money has been taken. Any idea at what stage they deduct money?

Normally money gets deducted in a week's time (as happened with me) but it may take up to 10 days as busy periods come in summer.
