Also, I'm about to re-enter the UK with my husband and we have all the paperworks to show we are married, living together and have applied for the card. Should we go together to the All Passport section at Heathrow or the EU Passport? Did anyone did this before, how did it go?
Hi jpa,

I just returned to the UK with my partner yesterday. I went to the All Passports line together with my partner (Spanish national). I handed over both our passports, my entry card completed except for the length of stay and told the immigration officer that I have some other documentation as I am awaiting my EEA (EFM) Residence Card. I recently renewed my passport so he asked for my old passport and I gave him the certificate of application as well. He then spent some time writing on the back of my entry card then stamped my passport to allow me to stay for 6 months (while the application is being processed). All very simple!

Good luck!

Hi All,
I'm pleased to share with you all that I received all my documents and a letter from HO today saying I will receive my biometric RC card within 10 working days. My details are as follows:
Applied 28/04/2015
Acknowledgement letter received 30/04/2015
Biometric letter received 08/05/2015
COA received 22/05/2015 (dated 19/05/2015)
Requested for passports for myself and partner on 21/05/2015 and received it just on the 10th day or so.
HO letter saying Biometric RC will be received within 10 working days received on 22/09/15 (dated 19/09/15).

I'm a Nigerian married to a Slovakian since October last year but we've been together since 2007. My wife has been in the UK since around 2003 and employed too.

Just to add that after I received my COA, I had a job offer which was supposed to be permanent but was changed to a 6 months contract pending when my RC has been issued, so my RC will be arriving just in time.

I hope you find my info useful and somewhat reassuring. Hope you all receive the good news about your RC sooner than later. All the best!

Thanks

Hi Jotoia,

I didn't receive any acknowledgement, apart from the page after you submit the form where it said that the request had been successful. There was also a tracking number on that page, which I didn't even write down because the page refreshed
But it all went well, I submitted the request on the 15th (late evening) and the HO letter which came with the passports was dated 19th

Does anyone know what happens if the HO comes for a home visit and nobody is home?
How many attempts will they make?
What if each time they come there's nobody home?
Do they leave any kind of a ("missed you") notice at the house?
Has anyone gotten a refusal because they were unable to catch you at home?
I know in theory that's not a reason for refusal, but how is it done in practice?
Thanks.

Hi, i just copy from kamoe post :

I was actually confused. The info on where to report change of address does not come in the CoA, it comes in the Biometrics letter. However it only says the following, right at the very end:

To find more information about enrolling your biometrics, or wish to tell us about a change in your address or correspondence details, please visit our website at:
http://www.gov.uk/uk-visas-immigration

However if you follow that link, there is no straight forward way to find the form. I did a search using "change of address" as keywords and found the following link: https://www.gov.uk/change-circumstances-visa-brp

If you follow that, and select "If you are in the UK and don't have a brp" (https://www.gov.uk/change-circumstances ... have-a-brp), then select "Report a change of address only" you will find the following form, which I think is what we are looking for: https://visa-address-update.service.gov.uk/

Hello Members.

I'm holding EEA residence card since 3 years and my children's got EEA family permit to join us in uk 3 Months before after a hearing in tribunal and they are from my Ex non EEA spouse.

Very typical question.

As per their natural mothers consent she gave me custody of children and can see them at any time without any my restriction.

Now she want to visit them in UK.

They are 15,13 and 8 years old and studying in school.

Which visa she can apply?

And I want to apply for my children's EEA2 Residence card which documents we should submit and is this straight case ? They hold EEA family permit and judgement from tribunal.

Many thanks

Just a short update on my timeline. Yesterday (23rd of September) I got a letter asking for biometric data being submitted dated 18th of September. Today (24th of September) I submitted it first thing in the morning. So, expecting now COA to arrive hopefully within next couple of weeks :)
