Curtailment Letter Received Help plz for FLR(FP)

Post by psw2009 » Wed Apr 06, 2016 12:38 pm

Hi,

I have received my curtailment letter from home office as tier 2 sponsor license is being revoked. I am require to leave on 05-06-2016 and I will be qualifying for Long residence 10 year on 08-07-2016(this is 28days before my 1st entry in UK)

my questions are

1. Will home accept my ILR application 33days before qualifying for period?
2. If not what are my options please?
3. Am I allowed to work employed/self employment in this curtailment period. ?

I shall be very thankful for your answers.

1. Will home accept my ILR application 33days before qualifying for period? No

2. If not what are my options please? Have a look at FLR(LR) form.

3. Am I allowed to work employed/self employment in this curtailment period. ? You can only work for your current sponsor.

Thanks you very much for your help. I have gone through FLR(LR)

i suppose i can withdraw this FLR(LR) after 33 days and submit SET(LR), can you please let correct me if i have got it wrong.

Is withdrawing application straightforward or will i just submit SET(LR) when due without passport and explain to HO on covering letter?

Thanks A lot.

You can apply to vary your application to Set(LR).

Vary = to change to another (i.e. before a decision is made on FLR(LR) for example)

See page 57 in the link below.

Hi CR001,

Am i right to make following assumptions.

1. Submit application for FLR(LR)
2. Book appointment for SET(LR) after qualifying period (I want to go for Premium service)
3. Take the SET (LR) application form on appointment day along with covering letter to VARY application FLR(LR) which was made before.
4. Pay for the fee difference on the appointment day
5. Example of covering letter is

"This application is a variation of application reference: [YOUR APPLICATION REFERENCE NUMBER]
My passport and other supporting documents are with that application"

Thanks a lot

I was expecting my passport returned today but nothing came, I have spoken to UKBA and according to customer service I will not receive passport back and further application will need to made without passport. is anyone else been in this situation? and will that be possible to submit application without passport.?

I suppose UKBA should have write me that they are holding my passport but nothing.

Yes you do. £200 per year of extension. The surcharge probably hadn't been introduced when you last submitted an application.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
