Hello everyone,

I got RCOS with 50 points from my current employer.

As the RCOS application was refused consecutively 3 months, a few days back I started searching for another opportunity with a better salary and fortunately, I got an offer with >70k. But, the new employer hasn't done RMLT yet. They are going to start the RMLT now. So, it will take another 28 days for RMLT and then maybe a few days for the visa.

My current employer is asking for final confirmation about my movement. I am in the dicey situation. On one hand, I have, ROCS but with less salary, at the same time I have another offer with a much better
salary with decent benefits but, I don't have RCOS yet. Can anyone please advice me what should I do in this situation? Should I resign from the current company and rely on the new company? As I guess with >70k salary there are very fewer chances of RCOS refusal. Or should I continue with the current employer?

Thanks in advance.

You can accept the current offer and join.Anyway you have time for another offer to RLMT and other things for processing.Once you have entered into UK with Tier 2 General, another employer with higher salary can apply UCOS(Unlimited UCOS per year) so you will get easily visa transferred from current(lower salary) to new (higher salary)
Thanks for the suggestion. Both roles are equally good and employers with A rating hence, I am bit confused :-(

Hi, I'm almost in the same situation, I've got CoS with SOL approved. I have another offer with 33 points which I want more. I'm very confused about if I should wait and resubmit for August and hope to points drop to 33 or accept the other offer which already approved CoS.
70k is a substantial salary the salary! And it will certainly get you in instantly (after rlmt).

That said, I have been waiting and hoping for my same 39 point role since December. My skills are in demand but I believe that this is the right role for me.

I would like to say go for the role that you REALLY WANT, but you could live more comfortably if that’s what you wanted.

Hi guys,

45 points (no benefits or allowances), non-NHL, non-SOL approved!

I was refused with 33 points since last Dec but luckily my employer agreed to raise my salary and applied with 45 points this month.

This forum has been massively helpful! This is my first time to post here but I really wanted to share the news ASAP.

Good luck to you guys all!

Congrats Jess125. Good news at least 45 points are going through. Hope it will reduce further this month itself.

Raise from 33 to 45 points was huge though. Very lucky your employer got convinced to raise so much

Non NHL is likely a typo and should be 'non-NHS'.

Non SOL = Non Shortage Occupation List job.

Not Sure. I can only make a guess that they review applications in sequence of when they were submitted.

Can you please let us know whether your application was approved exceptionally outside this month's quota or not?

Not sure, my employer didn't mention if our application was approved exceptionally outside this month's quota. We submitted our application on the 4th July though.

Hello Guys
I have not heard anything from my employer yet . Heard that the new band scale for NHS has been approved by the Home office and a Band 6 should get 28050 k to start with . But guys can someone tell me even though a RCOS is issued by the homeoffice with this salary wont the UKBA reject ur tier 2 application once you apply for your visa for the Uk . Please help everyone .

If you are not a shortage occupation list job, you need a minimum of £30k pa to get a tier 2 visa or if the SOC salary is higher, then the higher amount per SOC.

For new entrants salaries for each code (if your age is less than 25?) is there any specific requirement? I am not sure how this works, though!
