Urgent : Tier 2 General in country switch/extension application

Hi
We are making in-country application for switching/extending our tier 2 general visa (myself main applicant and my spouse & kids as dependent)
Our immigration lawyer has said that we don’t have to sign the application as the forms are submitted online. Is that correct?
I am hearing this for the first time and just want to confirm if it is fine to submit application without signing?

Just want to check if anyone has applied for extending Tier 2 General/switching employer within UK via priority postal service? I want to check the recent timelines how long did it took to get a result and a BRP?
