PBS Dependent Visa Extension Query

Post by RAJ007 » Thu Nov 08, 2018 11:22 am

Hello Everyone,

If someone could please help me with my below question;

I am on ILR at the moment and before that I was on Tier 2 General Visa.

I got my Assured Short Hold Tenancy Agreement in June 2017 for 6 months and which ended in December 2017 last year, and since then I am on Periodic/Roll Over Contract (pay my rent every month.)

.1. I want to apply for my wife PBS Dependent Visa again for extension, so my question is can I submit my old Tenancy Agreement with my wife visa application ?

.2. Is it alright if I don't submit my Tenancy Agreement and instead just submit below documents for Cohabitation ? ;

(a) Council Tax Statement ( On Joint Name i.e. Me and my wife)
(b) Utility Bill ( On Joint Name i.e. Me and my wife)
(c) My wife Electoral Registration Letter.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks.

1. Yes

2. Fine, but HO is aware that many tenancy agreements become a rolling periodic tenancy.

Perhaps you are overthinking a bit.

Thanks CR001.

Yes you are right , I am just overthinking at the moment.

Just to clarify, my Old Tenancy Agreement is just on my name as my wife was not in UK at that time.

.1. So do you still think its alright to submit the Old Tenancy Agreement which is just on my name for my Wife Visa Or the 3 documents which I mentioned before would be enough ?

.2. Also just for my knowledge, Is Tenancy Agreement a Mandatory document ?

Many Thanks.

1. Yes.

2. No.

You need to prove cohabitation for the last 2 years or however long she has been in the UK if less than 2 years.

Thanks CR001 for your help.

I got bit confused when you said YES for the below question as there were 2 parts to my question;

.1. So do you still think its alright to submit the Old Tenancy Agreement which is just on my name for my Wife Visa Or the 3 documents which I mentioned before would be enough ?

Could you please clarify on this please.

Many Thanks.

Hello Everyone,

I am currently on ILR and before that I was on Tier 2 General Visa.

I am going to apply for my wife visa extension as PBS Dependent. So I am filling out the online application form for the PBS Dependent visa.

If someone can help me for the 2 subsequent questions asked on the application form as below;

.1. Which visa or permission to stay has Mr XXXXX applied for or been granted?
Choose the service that Mr XXXXX most recently applied for, even if their application is still being processed. If the main applicant has been granted indefinite leave to remain or British Citizenship, you should choose the PBS Tier under which they were granted leave before.

I have selected "Tier 2(General) leave to remain" for the above question.
Am I right on this ?

.2. Do you have one of these Home Office reference numbers for Mr XXXXX?
What BRP number I have to provide for the question 2, is it my Tier 2 BRP number or ILR BRP number ?

Could you please help me with the above 2 question please.

Many Thanks.
