Applying my Kid's dependant Visa

Post by gatha_vdm » Sun Dec 02, 2018 1:19 pm

Hi Friends,

I need a help on my kid's visa

I am on Tier 2 Gen visa, my wife has dependant visa and she is in India and went for baby delivery, due around 1st week of Feb 2019.

Both of Our Visa expiry date is in Dec 2019.

Meanwhile I got a superb offer, I accepted and need to change my visa to join my new employer.

My solicitor told me that my wife can come here with the old pbs dependant visa even after me changing to a new Tier 2 visa visa.

But while applying dependant visa for my kid our(me and my wife) visas will have different end date, which may cause a problem it seems.

My wife visa end date: Dec 2019, I can extend this visa once she is here in UK to be inline with my date.

My new Visa End Date: April 2020

The solicitor has advised to apply new entry clearance visa for my wife along with my kid, In which she might loose the time she spent here towards her PR.

Does anybody has experienced similar situation please let me know if it is ok to apply our kid's visa when we(me and my wife) have different visa end date

can I apply for a visa for my child even though me and my wife's visas expire at different dates?

Cheers!

As long as they apply as your T2 dependents why would they have different end dates? Visa start date may be different if they apply at different times but their BRP expiry dates would be in line with your visa expiry date right?
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

We had same visa end date before.

Now I have changed employer, with new visa I have new visa end date which 5 months after my previous visa's end date, so my wife's visa ends as same as my old visa. She don't have reapply as PBS dependant tied to a valid Tier 2 Main applicant. So her visa is valid.

I hope this explains why we have different end dates in my visa compared to my wife's my visa.

Cheers!

When you apply for your child's visa the baby will have visa end date same as your new visa expiry date. When your wife's visa is extended next time (just before visa expires) she will have her new visa expiry date as as you and your kid.

I'm not seeing any issue here, but let's see if any other members have better idea about your scenerio.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Thanks Vinny,

I hope it's a valid scenario, my kid can apply with my wife's old visa.

Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks a ton!

My ILR And my Baby Visa

Post by gatha_vdm » Thu Jan 31, 2019 12:20 pm

Hi all,

Please suggest me a which way I can do.

I am presently on TIER 2 Gen

I have a present situation that I will be eligible for ILR in March 22nd 2019.

I have a baby born in India, in January. I am planning to bring my family here by end of April.

My Kid's passport will be ready around March 1st week.

Can I apply for Tier 2 dependant for my baby around March 5th and I guess it would come around 14 days.
Can I go for ILR in end of March and bring the kid to the UK by end of April.

Will this work out? Shall I bring my Kid here as ILR dependant?

Please suggest!

Cheers!

The last line in my first query should be

Will this work out?

Or Shall I apply PR after my family is back here

or Shall I apply PR first and apply ILR dependant for my kid and bring my family

Any help is much appreciated

Cheers!

Hello Experts,

I have got my child's passport and I am filling up the visa application for my child.

It is not really clear in any of home office website.

Any help is much appreciated.
