But it is NOT a work permit. This topic is in the Tier 2 Work permit sub forum which is NOT relevant to PR related issues or questions!!!

If you have received PR based on the EU rules, then post your question in the link below.

If you have applied for ILR under the UK immigration rules, then post your query in the link below.

Hi,

My dependent work Permit Visa was approved in February 2019 and I recieved my BRP card within 1 week, however I still haven't received my passport yet.

In March I filled online documents return form and UKVI advised me to wait for 10 working days. After 10 working days, I still didn't receive my passport so I made 2nd online request of documents return and waited for 10 working days.

After waiting for 20 working days, I wrote letter to UKVI SHEFFIELD office who approved my Visa. I included Visa approval letter, BRP copy as an attachment with detailed covering letter of why I am sending this letter.

Unfortunately, I still didn't receive my passport back.
I finally then called UKVI and they told me that they can't help me out and they advised me to email on
complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk. On 11/4/19 I sent an email on complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk where I included Visa approval letter, BRP card copy and covering letter as an attachment. I am still awaiting reply from them.

Please suggest what else can I do to get my passport back asap.

I will appreciate all your help.

Regards,

Update:
I am sill waiting for my passport. It’s been 3 months already since I am waiting for my passport.
I used all possible means to contact Home office but nothing is working. I did a complaint. I applied for a compliant review. I sent recorded posts to Sheffield and croydon office addresses. I sent recorded post to the case worker did my application. I wrote to the admin review team. I applied online for a return of documents. I wrote to Home Office on Twitter. I wrote to Sajid Javid on Twitter. I wrote to my MP who is also waiting since a month to hear back from Home Office.
God knows why is Home Office taking so long to return my passport. I have to travel on 14th June.
I tried everything in my control but nothing is working.
I am going to my embassy tomorrow to apply for a new passport as I can’t seem to find a reason for waiting anymore.

Hi, I want to share my experience, it might be helpful for someone in similar situation:

- I applied for Tier 2 myself and 4 family members which was refused in December 2018, supporting documents were returned but not the passports. My application was postal priority but my 4 dependent application was standard postal.

- I sent new VISA application within 14 days, same my postal priority and my dependants standard postal.

- My application was approved in about week time and passport returned back within 10 working days. My 4 dependents VISA application was approved after 8 weeks, supporting document and BRP posted but not the passports.

- I waited about 2 months and then I contacted UKVI by posting signedfor letter to the caseworker on the address written on decision letter. After that passports for my 4 dependent returned back in about one week after sending letter and by the same caseworker.

So writing to the caseworker might work for the people in similar situation.

I also sent emails at: rodrequestsect@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and liverpooleuro.passportreturns@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Try sending same letter on above email address as well.
