I have a query beyond the scope of this thread. I am posting it here as i could not find any relevant section to ask about it. CR001; can you please move it to relevant section.

Has UK govt introduced any new work permit route for UK PhD holders (I know there had been 12 months post study visa for new PhD holders)? If someone has done PhD from UK institute 5 years ago, can they get work permit for 5 years now?
No they have not introduced anything and it would be for migrants currently studying in the UK and correct, it is completely irrelevant to your topic or this sub forum, so please don't post about it here.

Congrats!

Employment section: Did you select both employee and director OR only director?

Did you send any documents to prove that?

Please post here the final list of documents you sent with your application.

Thanks
Thank you

Wow! Congrats! Is that 21 working days or just 3 weeks?
Can you confirm what the tax reference number is..the number for corporation tax (CT41G or Ct600 number) or the paye reference number?

Closing company after citizenship approval

Post by Meesha » Thu Oct 03, 2019 12:48 pm

Hi All,
I know this is immigration advise forum. I need to know one thing which might be slightly irrelevant to immigration but related to earlier immigration history.
I got permanent job in my Institute now which is teaching fellow. I can continue my research work that i was doing for my business on Tier1 Ent visa. However, i find it easier to close down the company and keep doing same work on volunteer basis along side my job.

1. Is there any problem to close down the company after getting British citizenship?

2. My company had been in losses and one person who is doing similar kind of work is happy to buy my company by paying half of the losses. It is literally buying company's name for losses only not product/any assets with it. Is it fine to follow this route as i did intend to continue business when my ILR application was under process.

Many thanks in advance.
Any thoughtful insight on this will be much appreciated.

Cheers
Meesha
