Personally I would apply on 6 Jan which is a workday - applied means you submit and pay your online application. I avoid weekends and holidays for important transactions .... A day or two shouldn't make a different, and also you will have to attend the biometrics appointment for which you may have to wait a few days.

Thanks. But what is the general rule. Is it after 5 years of ILR or on the day when your 5 years complete?

Hello 👋, :?:
I booked my appointment with UKVCAS and it is within 12 days from today 03/01/2020. I just found that I will be busy on day of appointment at enhanced centre. Is it possible to change my appointment? Do I need to pay again full or partial? Or is it free to rebook appointment please

2. Life events.. what is it.. phew
3. Medical information?
4. Sponsors employment? I have no sponsor..
5. Educational documents. Shall I upload Level B1 certificate here?
6. Proof of application. What is it? What document needing uploading here please

Just ignore these categories - they are not required - and load all your documents into "Other" - the system caters for many different applications - UKVI will find your documents

Hello Aalterhase58,
Yes uploading documents!
There is not enough option for uploading file in “other”. I booked for appointment at enhanced centre though? Will UKVI upload for me ? It means my fee is included in uploading files? I have loads of job letters from my employers ( last 5 years). Where I will upload them? Do I have to pay extra for uploading at enhanced centre please
I made some errors in my citizenship application I found them when I printed out the application. Can I apply for new application? Do I need to pay another £1350 again and £61.50 again or it’s free?
Thanks

Hello 👋
I had my referee forms already signed before submitting online application for BC. Is that right ? Or I have to contact referees again after submitting my online application please

Not an issue. Referees don't have to sign same date.

Mistakes (unless serious) don't loose you the application fee. Best to email/write to them explaining.
Thanks

What letter?

You don't get an acknowledgment letter after ukcvas appointment.

I submitted my application for BC at one of enhance centres in UK. The guy who was taking finger prints and photos told me the you will receive a letter from home office but he did not tell when I will receive that letter.
I got a text message that my application has been submitted to Home office

You don't get a letter. The next letter you get is either asking for documents or something or the approval/refusal.

Whenever they have processed your application which can take up to 6 months, sometimes longer.

Really hope you were not expecting a quick turnaround of a few days on the application.

Doctors are not on the list of acceptable referees. You need one referred who is British and over 25 and a second referee who is a professional of any nationality. A nurse would be fine for a professional. Both referees must have known you for at least 3 years.
Doctors are still accepted as being of professional standing by HO. As far as I could dig out the only reason they were removed from the list is because they explicitly asked to in order to avoid being swamped with forms to fill in.

In my application (2018) I used a medical doctor as my professional referee. That said, they are a good friend of mine as well and not the kind of doctor I only ever see every so often at their practice. Not sure if that carried any weight, but they were accepted and HO had no issues about that.

Of course a sample size of 1 report is not a "guarantee" and should be considered as opinion only, but it seems other members still use doctors and HO appear to be satisfied.

There have been a few cases reported where a case worker has sent an email requesting further details, for example recently relating to paying off a county court judgement debt (member got positive decision afterwards). If you don't hear from them one must assume they have everything required and are progressing the application.
