If your course ends in June '21, and your visa ends in March '22 (which seems strange, it should be October '21), why do you need an extension?

It depends.

If the end date was always wrong, you should have queried it when you got the BRP. It's too late to do that now, and you would need to make a new application in your home country. You cannot apply in the UK because your sponsor cannot confirm academic progression on your CAS, and there is no concession to allow it.

If the end date was correct, but now you need more time to complete the course for some reason, it depends on the reason. If a student is "unable to complete their course of study within their current period of permission due to Covid-19", they can apply for an extension in the UK. See paragraphs 3.6 to 3.8 of this guidance:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... m-students

If the reason for the extension is unrelated to Covid-19, there is no current concession that allows you to apply in the UK.

Your sponsor university should be advising you about your options.

You are an overstayer from the date after your visa expires.

You should leave the UK on or before the expiry date of your visa.

Is your concern related to your wife failing a module or perhaps her dissertation?

Resits take place during term time (before the programme finishes and visa expires). If she fails a resit, universities have their provisions for those cases, she may be offered a PG Cert or a PG Dip. You can take a look of the course guidebook as these cases usually are explained there, or ultimately ask the university.

With regard to dissertation, students generally are allowed to resubmit their dissertation without attendance and their certificate will be sent by post, a friend did this a few years ago.

I don't think an international student can apply for an extension in such cases, but I don't know if there are some exemptions.

Not sure where you read you can stay 14 days after your student visa expires. You must leave on or before the 22 of March or you will be an overstayer.

Paragraph 39E of the immigration rules allows permission to stay applications by some overstayers.

Because of covid situations we can extend visa from uk whose visa expires before March 31. In that list they ask any reference no. Like gwf ,home office or any other .how to get that gwf no.

This has nothing to do with the topic. I suggest you post as a new topic.

This is not relevant to the topic of BRP Errors. I suggest you post it in the Skilled Worker forum or, better still, check with the employer.

Hi All,

How long does it take for corrected BRP to arrive after receiving confirmation from home office that new BRP card will be issued.

We have received an email that corrected BRP card will be issued But they have also mentioned on the email that BRP team are extremely busy and they have no timescale on when replacement card will be produced and that they are working on the emails from December at the moment 🙄

Thanks for your help.
