Children ILR application

Further To the above post it is Tier 2 dependent visa??

The same rules apply to them. They cannot get ILR unless they have the required continuous 5 years of residence

Hi,
I am on Tier 2 Visa, will hopefully get ILR on 9/2023.

Can I ask do we start application for British Citizenship on same date i.e 9/2023 after 5 years continuous residence in UK or do we have to wait for further 12 months i.e start application 9/2024

You have to hold ILR for 12 months before you can apply for citizenship. The only time you don't have to wait 12 months is if you are married to a British citizen.
