Spouse Visa - Pregnant

Post by geeta624262 » Sun Jul 03, 2022 12:38 pm

My applied for Spouse Visa in early April 2022. In may my husband his set of documents to the Visa Processing Centre in England.

Now I am pregnant & we want to inform the Visa Processing Centre.
Where can we send the medical reports?

It's 3 months since we applied for Visa. They delayed approval due to Ukraine War.

Kindly comment

There is no need to inform the HO.

Once she gets the spouse visa she can travel to the UK and give birth here. Airlines usually allow travel up to around 30 weeks of pregnancy (check with airline)

Current processing time for spouse visas can be up to 24 weeks counted from attending the biometric appointment.

Thank you.

I want this info known to UKVI as they delayed sanction of Spouse Visa from 3 months to 6 months due to Ukraine war.

Wondering if the new circumstances can reduce the delay.

Thank you once again.

Firstly, there's no way to contact the HO whilst processing the Leave to Enter.

Secondly, even if there was, pregnancy has no effect on the speed at which your application would be treated. They would take whatever time necessary.

You would have been told a timeframe in the beginning. It's just a guidance, not mandatory they keep to the exact time.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Thank you.

We got a letter extending processing time.

Maybe we need to pay extra for quicker processing.

Once again thank you.

You cannot pay extra for quicker decision after online submission and Biometrics. All you can do is wait.

Spouse Visa

Post by geeta624262 » Fri Sep 16, 2022 7:33 am

My wife received a letter after five months (due to Ukraine war) without visa sticker (vignette) saying that her application is successful and advised her to wait till they send a letter asking her to collect the visa sticker at New Delhi.

Bit confusing

When she applied for a tourist visa last year she got her passport with visa sticker but this time passport came back without sticker but a letter saying that her application for spouse visa is successful.

Not sure how long to wait :?:

Indeed strange times. However at least there is clarity on the situation, just the waiting times.

This is normal process for many applications now however, the process between the VAC and DMC is slightly slow in processing the printing of the vignette.
My opinions should not be constituted as an immigration or legal advice.

@ geeta624262: Did they send your wife an email or post her a mail? My wife attended the biometric appointment since 12 May and has not heard anything from them, except for an email in June saying that her online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre. Thank you very much.

Thank you all those who replied to the thread.

Actually there is a visa sticker but we failed to see it as it's affixed in the last pages of the passport.

I am in UK already.

Love you all for the responses :)
