Stamps on Passport for ILR

Post by nanch0403 » Sun Feb 19, 2023 7:59 pm

Hi there,

I am planning to apply for the ILR on a 5-year work visa.
I just recently returned to the UK from a trip and found I did not receive the stamp on my passport when I entered the UK border. I was asked to provide my fingerprint on arrival at the border, but the officer did not stamp my passport.

Will it be an issue to apply the ILR? If so, can someone please let me know how to resolve it?

Thank you very much.

Best wishes!

Employment Letter for ILR

Post by nanch0403 » Sun Mar 12, 2023 4:26 pm

Hi there,

I am preparing the documents for applying ILR based on fiver year work visa. May I ask about the employment letter, should it be dated within a month of the application submission day or less? I am just wondering when shall I ask HR to prepare/issue the document for me.

Thank you very much.

All the best.

That should be fine. Nice if you could shave it down a little more though.

Application question for TIER 2 to ILR

Post by nanch0403 » Fri Mar 17, 2023 9:55 pm

Hello there,

I am filling in my online application questions for the ILR based on a five-year Tier 2 visa.
For the question 'Date you first entered the UK', I am not sure which date should I put.

I have been in the UK for studying and then working for many years. If it refers to the date I physically first entered the UK, it was 2014. Or should I enter the date of my first Tier 2 visa issue date? (as I am applying for ILR based on the five-year work visa).

Thank you in advance for your kind help.

Application date for ILR

Post by nanch0403 » Tue Mar 21, 2023 1:15 pm

Hello everyone,
?
I would like to make sure of the application submission date for ILR.
I understand it is within 28 days, but will the end day be included for counting?
In my case, my very first work visa starts on 27th April 2018, so when is the earliest day for me to submit the online application? the 30th or 31st March?

Thank you very much.

This is by 30th of March 2023. However to make sure no error in date you can submit from 31st March onwards.

Employment Confirmation Letter for ILR

Post by nanch0403 » Wed Mar 29, 2023 8:36 pm

Hello,

My employer's HR team only issued me a single letter stating all required confirmation information from the employer, the approved work-related absences, and the annual leave allowance.

Is that ok to submit this single letter from the employer with my ILR application? As I can see from the checklist, there are two separate required documents from the employer.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards,

Thank you for your reply. May I double check with you, does the application submission date refer to the online application submission or the appointment day?

Date of application is the date you submit and pay online. It is not the biontrric appointment date.

Sorry about the trouble. May I also ask you one more question regarding the signed consent form? For my case, I only need to sign part 1 (myself), so can I just upload the single page with my signature or do I need to upload the entire document (3 pages, leaving the other two pages blank)?
