Dependent Visa for ILR

Post by devang99 » Fri Dec 18, 2009 5:18 pm

Hi Friends,

I am eligible for ILR on August 2009 under completetation of 5 Yrs under work permit.

I have not applied for ILR yet.

My wife has her own work permit for 3 yrs and before that she was dependent on me so for period of 2004 to 2006 she was my dependent and 2006 onwards she was on her work permit.

my daughter is 3 yrs old and she is always under depnedent on my wife

now my question is If my wife and daughter convert thier status to dependept to me by going to India on Jan..

then if we apply for ILR together , will we all get ILR ? or I will get ILR and they will get diffrent visa ...

Thanks in advance

If they have leave as your (work permit) dependants, then it should be possible to include them (196E, 198) in your ILR application. KOL required for adults.

Note that if your child was born in the UK, then immediately after a parent is granted settlement/PR, their child is entitled to register for British citizenship (Section 1(3)), irrespective of child's immigration status.
