Nothing to worry.
It depends upon the case worker.
You will get it soon.

Best wishes,
akb.

Approved visa and documents received: 16/02/10

My approval letter says i have been approved for tier1 general...but the sticker in my passport says tier1 post study work, is this correct or do i need to get this changed, if so how would i go about it??

Thanks

Please contact UKBA by phone and email both quickly as they may require you to send ur passport to fix it and send you back; since u are planning to travel in 2weeks contact them immediately; i think based on the response you might need to change ur travel schedule..

Hi Ramesh,

Thank you very much for u r support. My HSMP expired on 15/2/2010. I got a job offer on my hand and i have to join from march. So i am worried little alot.
Is there any procedure that we can request the home office people to look into the case and take the decision quickly.

This waiting is killing me with sleepless nights.

I have contacted them and i'm sending special delivery today, they say they will have it back to me early next week, they are aware i'm travelling in 2 weeks and will treat it with urgency. It should be fine...i hope.

Unfortunately, UKBA does not give status update till 14th week from the date you apply.. but good thing is IF your case is straight forward they give decision in 4-5weeks time.. this is the only way..

Also keep track of the Waiting Times

Based on the waiting times it says...
During the week commencing 15 February 2010 we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 21 January 2010. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.

Hi,

I am sure you will get your visa in few days. You can inform to your new company about your visa application if they ask you about the legal status. I applied on Jan21, and still waiting. As per the processing times, I think your application will be with some case worker now.

Best wishes,
akb.

I got mine today. Timelines are mentioned in my signature.
I have my ILR since march 2013, previously based on HSMP+Tier1 ext. All views are my own, am not a professional on immigration matters.

Thanks!!!

I had applied at Mumbai British Deputy High Commission. And its been known (also available on their official website) that 90% of the applications from this location have been approved in 5 days.
