Hi there,
I was filling out the SET(O) form for my appointment this week, and it does seem like most of the form will remain empty.

Did you tick
Category :Other purpose not cover in the form
As the Category ?

Did you put your own name as the response anywhere in the form - just seems a bit strange that since my wife is applying as my dependant (I got ILR in Jul 2012), but the form doesnt need my name to be specified anywhere - is this correct?

Yes, you need tick on "Other purposes"

True,there is no place to mention you name , and there is no need to mention also , but you can mention in Other purpose reason column stating that "PBS dependent of ILR holder"(Your name)

4. My 3 months bank certificate showing my salary credit ( balance in this account was less than £1000 always except on the Salary days)
Pay slips were not taken.
5. Council tax notification of current stay.
6. GP letters of 2006-2008 stay.
7. Election commission letters which came to our current address (name amendment letters).

"Maternity and to take care of In-laws" we showed the evidence of Maternity and caseworker also looked at my passport whether I have traveled to India to see her
3. Where were your Kids when you were in India? Yes they were in India
4. Are your Kids attending the school UK now? Yes
5. Have you decided to settled down here now ? are you sure? Yes

- Did they ask any proof for your statement "to take care of In-laws"?
- How many times you traveled to India during that time? Please mention duration also.

As my case is very similar to your that's why I am asking so many questions to prepare myself.

They did ask but we said we don't have anything to prove that.
I have travelled 3 times every year for 3 weeks each

Thank you for sharing your experience, it's really helpful. My case is also similar. My husband got his ILR in dec'12. I entered UK in march'11 on WP dependant and then switched to tier 2 dependant in jan'12. Now I am currently on tier 2 dependent visa valid till jan'14.

I will compete my 2 years in the UK in mar'13. We are planning to apply my ILR in may/June as we do not have any cohabilitation proof for first three months except our housing contract.

My questions are that even tier 2 dependent need to use SET (O) form?
Can I travel out of UK on tier 2 dependent visa when my husband is on ILR?
As I am full time employed, do I need to show my salary statements as well?
What documents do I need to show from my husband?

I will be really thankful if you can help me.

Did you answer yes to section 5.4 ? does the amount we write there make any difference and have to be proven in bank statement?

I don't think you need to show your Salary statements but you can fill in the details in 5.4
What documents do I need to show from my husband?
His Salary slips and Bank statements and any cohabition documents.
Your housing contract should be enough they will not look in to each day of two years.

Hi renzokuken,
As my wife was not working I just filled in the details of 5.2 and 5.1,5.3,5.4 were left blank.

Hi There,

I would be grateful if anyone could advice/help me on this issue.

My wife got PBS dependent visa (Tier1G) in October 2011.

By mistake I included her name in my ILR Application,although her stays was only 8 months.

Application sent on June 2012 .She got refusal in Dec 2012 after 6 months with reason of being short of two years probation period .
I then applied for PBS Dependent visa (dependent of a settle person) in January 2013 (within 28 days after the refusal letter served). Visa as PBS Dependent approved on May 2013.

My questions are:

Does the time period (9 months )lost in application can be taken into account for 2 years probation time?

Is she eligible now for ILR in October 2013 or she will be fall into 5 years probation period?

Time Line:

Entry Clearance : October 2011
SET O Application Sent : June 2012
ILR Application Refused (as Dependent of tier 1 G): Dec 2012
New PBS Depend FLR sent: January 2013 (applied within the 28 days after refusal letter served)
PBS Dependent visa approved: May 2013

Hello,
This is my case. I am currently on Tier 1(G) dependant my husband got his ILR on November 2013. I entered UK on November 2012. My visa is valid till September 2014 with 2 months shortage to go for ILR. I have previously been to UK on September 2008 under work permit dependant visa and left UK on May 2009 due to health reason and I later plan to do master degree in India so I didn't enter to UK in between and I dont have any visa. Meantime my husband switched to tier 1 (G) in 2009.

My question is:
can I combine my previous stay and apply ILR ? I have some proof like NHS card, bills, tenancy agreement.

Your help is much appreciated.

Dear All,
This is Venkt, I got this forum reference from Google.
I’m eligible for my ILR during mid August 2015 and struggling to make a decision to progress with my wife's ILR alongside any help appreciated please.

My wife initially got entry clearance as a Tier 1 dependent during 02/2011. Her first Tier 1 dependent was stamped till 02/02/2013. She stayed in UK for 5 months before she went back to INDIA for her delivery in 07/2011. She came back from her delivery on 12/08/2012 and was till on the same dependent visa (above).

She went to INDIA due to medical reasons on 01/02/2013 and had to stay there for 5 months.
Her dependent visa got expired on 02/02/2013 and she had to apply a fresh Tier 1 dependent visa in INDIA, got visa stamped from 08/07/2013 till 02/2015. Hence she had to do a new entry clearance to UK on this new VISA. From then she is in UK till date, with her latest Tier 1 extension.

Query:
She has now completed 2 years in UK if we calculate from 2013 till august 2015. Also, she got her first entry clearance as a Tier 1 visa under dependent category in year 2011, can she apply ILR along with me on the 2 year policy or should she wait for 5 years to apply ILR?

Much appreciated, if you'd have a look and respond ASAP please... thanks in advance...

It's complicated because we are not sure if applying for entry clearance breaks her "continuous leave", which is required for ILR.
