Well,i dont think 6 wks is too little time. It's taking an average of 8 wks fr new applications to be decided.

My wife has just received her RC (EEA2, spousal). I'm Hungarian citizen, she is US citizen. In case anyone's wondering, here's the timeline:

18 March 2013 - EEA2 mailed to UKBA
27 March 2013 - Certificate of Application (with right to work) received, dated 21 March 2013
10 June 2013 - Residence Card received, dated 29 April 2013. (Yes, really, April!)

We have attached the following documents to our EEA2:
  • both passports (and an ID photo of my wife) to prove our identity as well as my EU citizenship,
  • marriage certificate to prove that she is my family member,
  • one payslip of mine to prove that I'm excercising my Treaty Rights in the UK,
  • both of our bank statements (with the same address) to prove cohabitation, hence displaying that our marriage is not one of convenience (that is, she is genuinely my family member),
  • one bank statement of our joint bank account to further support our previous claim.
We haven't contacted UKBA to get updates on the status of the application or to get our passports back; instead we decided to let the process run its course.

-2 photographs of mine.
-my passport and my wife's passport.
-Tenancy agreement.
-work contract of my wife + a letter from her employer .
-one recent pay slip .
-My wife's national insurance card.
-----------------------------------------------
Application sent in : 08/06/2013

App received in : 10/06/2013

COA: Loading :D

RC: ...........

I would like to know if i miss any important document in my application? for me it looks so fine...any suggestion guys?

The EEA2 application has to establish the following facts:
  1. The identity of the applicant
  2. The EU citizenship of the sponsoring EU family member.
  3. The sponsoring EU family member exercising his or her Treaty Rights in the UK (e.g employment).
  4. Your are a family member of the sponsoring EU family member.
You didn't provide any documents to show (d) e.g. a marriage certificate. Your application will almost certainly be rejected.

Yes, you should be fine assuming that the tenancy agreement is signed by both of you, to rule out marriage of convenience. You can expect your residence card in about 8-10 weeks.

Thank you tjohnson for your recent replies . i would like to ask you one more question. my EEA Family Permit expires on 17 October 2013 so in case if i won t get an answer from HO regard my RC application and my EEA FP expires what should i do then?shall i request my passport back and to leave the uk to not be considered as over stayer and then i reapply for EEA FP again? or i am allowed to stay as my RC application and my documents are all with the HO ...?
what i know is the family member of an EEA national have the right to reside in the uk as long as his/her spouse is there so i think getting RC is just a confirmation for that right ...so maybe i no need to worry about the expiry of my EEA FP?
