Where are you studying? In Egypt or the UK? Is she earning a minimum of £18,600 a year?

If you've met - then you need to be applying for a fiancee visa or a spouse visa.

But if she isn't earning the appropriate amount - and isn't exempt from the financial requirements (DLA or carers allowances) then she'll need to find a job earning over £18,600 and work there for a minimum of 6 months before you can make any application.

I had epilepsy in my youth and worked, and I knew and indeed know several people with it who work so that's no barrier.

Two obvious options:

1) You come on a 'tier' visa in your own right - e.g. a student or a tier 2 worker

2) You use the Singh route - but that involves her moving to another European country, moving the centre of her life there (e.g. not returning every week to see family), and being either self sufficient or working - before you can then get an EEA family permit, and then after sufficient time (currently thought to be a minimum of 6 months) you could return with her to the UK.

Otherwise - she has to work unless she can claim Disability Living Allowance or Carers Allowance but even then she'd have to show sufficient free income on top of those allowances to support you (third party support is not allowed).

Final option - you and her combined hold a minimum of £62,500 in savings for 6 months prior to the application and use that instead to meet the financial requirements.

There are no free lunches mate, everything costs and costs more in the UK - are you aware the initial visa application for you is £851?

Yes it will be, you cannot marry in the UK if you are on a normal visitor visa and you are certainly not allowed to work either.

She still needs to earn £18,600 a year to be able to apply.

You can't do this without money, she needs to earn some coin, why can't she get a job? You well need the money, the visa process is not cheap, about £4,000 end to end, I think you need a dose of Growsum...

She'll need 62500 in her account if she isn't working.
