Divorce while on ILR

The husband and wife got ILR at the same time. 3 years later the husband got his naturalisation. The wife did not apply at the time.

Now, the couple is divorced and the wife is still on ILR.

Does this affect her ILR and future naturalisation application?

Change name in the passport

I recently got naturalised as British citizen and obtained my passport. Now I would like to change my name. For that I have got an unenrolled deed poll and a statutory declaration. When I make an application to change the name, should I make it under new name or old name and then specify the new ...

Document Upload

The appointment is booked and now need to upload the documents.

Is it OK to upload all mandatory documents under one section and extra documents in other sections?

For example, is it OK to upload all documents such as passport, BRP, Degree Certificate, References and consent forms in one section?

Naturalisation application for partner

My spouse is making her application for naturalisation.

Since she has indicated that she is married, it is asking about my details.

Recently, I have been issued a conditional caution. I am on ILR.

Will that affect her application?

Re: Dependents in naturalisation application

The naturalisation application has the following question:

do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?

Should the answer be yes for her application as I am dependent on her but not applying at this time.

Dependents in naturalisation application

Re: Conditional caution with letter of apology

Thank you for your response.

So I need to wait for 3 years before I apply for citizenship.

Will it affect if my ILR BRP expires within these 3 years? Will I be able to get a new BRP?

Conditional caution with letter of apology

Hello,

I am currently on ILR and I have received a conditional caution and asked to give letter of apology.

Does this affect my current immigration and will it impact my application for naturalisation?

Thanks.

Re: My Tier 1 story

The year of PhD doesn’t matter.

You definitely need recommendation letters, either promise or talent.

Re: English Language proof

You will huge amount for ILR fees, now why would you risk it just for the sake of formality? Either she should take the test or get certificate from UK NARIC.

Re: Bank statement

HSBC does not stamp statements. They will give your letter. Tell them you need for Home Office and they should print latest balance on the letter and you can take print out from bank branch for latest statement. I have done this and it works.

Hello All,

Since there is just one form, SET(O), for both the main and dependent, I only see that the main applicant is required to sign the form. Is this right or am I missing something?

Many thanks.

1. Unlikely if applying by post.

2. Cohabitation for whom?? Is your partner/spouse applying at the same time? What is their immigration history??
1. Applying through premium service
2. Wife has been my PBS dependent for 5 years.

Re: ILR cover letter

Thank you for reply.

Two more questions:

1. Do I need to provide photocopies of supporting documents?

2. For cohabitation, do I need 2 years or 5 years documents? The form SET O says maximum 2 years.

ILR cover letter

Hello All,

Is it compulsory to submit a cover letter with ILR application?

Is there a format that someone can help me with?

Thanks!
