Hi there. There is also another way if you are prepared to change your current work. This is simply to work north of the border (Northern Ireland). After acquiring National Insurance number, a NI address, and regular job there, you then can arrange for a TOURIST (General Visitor) UK visa for your mu...

Don't worry about that zafarzafar. I got the citizenship with 4 points on my licence. Penalty points and fines do not affect citizenship applications.

Good luck

This is absolutely new news for me. As I have said I did ask about this an immigration officer and the answer was no Irish visa for an Irish citizen. Hence, I personally did not attempt to get one. But good luck to you if you are getting a re-entry visa and please let us know of the result

This is exactly the same situation as in my case. I have asked about this and it seems that the Without Condition stamp is enough, i.e. no re-entry visa would be given as we are now Irish nationals. I therefore thought that the stamp would be enough to convince our own original countries authorities...

Is this a passport or what am I supposed to send? Thanks! Hi This is the travel doc...

hi Nehro, does 7 years condition also apply if you move to any other european country i.e. England or you are exempt from it if you move with in EU states? Unfortunately the rule applies even if you move to another EU country. I wonder, however, if this could be challenged at european level. This r...

I have 2 questions hopefully someone here know the answers. 1- I was made redundant and now I am seeing more options for work outside Ireland and mostly in the middle east, would this affect my newly Irish citizenship ? 2- If you get your baby while you are abroad, would the kids be automatically I...

@Nehro - 1 question for you. When your wife changed her name after getting her first Irish passport I presume she had to go to the court and execute a deed poll and only then applied for the second Irish passport with the changed name? Can you confirm the procedure please. Thanks in advance. Hi Str...

Re: name change before, during or after naturalisation.

Folks, Just wondering if someone can advise on the following. My wife is applying for naturalisation after 5 years of living/working here. She hasn't changed her maiden name yet after marriage but wants to change it now. This will mean that my first name would be her middle name and surname will be...

Just thought I'd post an update on this one. I called the INIS Citizenship phoneline today (20 min wait to get through despite calling at exactly 10:00 just as the phonelines opened) I asked if you had to personally know the solicitor who was certifying your application form. The woman said that "n...

Hi 9jeirean This is frustrating but I don't trust the accuracy of her reply to you... you can send a registered letter to INIS officially requesting the status of your application - They will be obliged to respond to you at least with more accurate info. Hope you will hear better news by then. LuasP...
