Re: NHS Surcharge Refund

Not sure if NHS surcharge refund is actually given but if it is, do update the thread. If you are granted 3-year visa by paying £xxx.xxx and you only use 8 months on that 3-year visa before switching employment, in that case even visa fees is not partially refunded just because you had 2.4 yrs left ...

Re: British passport for kid received but got couple of quer

It is your choice but there is no need to return it to HO. Most people keep it as a reminder of the journey they have been on. Also, if BC passport is lost/stolen, then at least if urgent travel is required, you have the BRP if it is an ILR one. That's good then, one less thing to worry. I'd though...

Re: British passport for kid received but got couple of quer

Thanks so much. @CR001 - I think while applying for the passport for kid, I did read some note advising to fold the Certificate of Registration only once. Regarding kid's BRP card, I'll either send it to Home Office by post by recorded delivery & covering letter or next time I travel abroad, I'll re...

Re: Can spouse of ILR holder directly register as Brit citiz

Thanks Casa & WR1. If we have to send a postal application for ILR, can we pay the fees using credit card or does it have to be cheque or postal order only for postal applications? Are card payments only accepted for premium appointments? Just double checking as on the form it says (for postal appli...

Re: ILR Application Eligibility Check - No NI for 2 years

It is not compulsory to submit 5 years P60s when you go for ILR. You may be paid at least 3 years NI & Tax here in UK. So, they might be checked your contribution in your last visa extension. Most of them did not submit their p60s for ILR (they kept it in hand). But, it should be OK with current pay...

You can ask for your last 5 years employment history letter from HMRC . http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/industrial-compensation/ This is for industrial compensation only. We need to call separate phone no or email them to get the employment history. I lost critical 2 weeks time by filling this form. Getting...
