List your total absence as follows witjh your visa status. For example, if the date of application is 11 November 2012, the consecutive periods would be as follows: Year 1 11 November 2012 to 10 November 2011 Year 2 11 November 2011 to 10 November 2010 Year 3 11 November 2010 to 10 November 2009 Yea...

Thanks cs95tdg.
Well I didn't want to make it complicated, so I just put my long absence as business. No questions were asked because I was on tier 1 - and yes it was unpaid. I'm sure my NI number would have showed that I did not have any NI or tax for those 7 months. [/b]

Thank you for your prompt reply.I am happy that every thing has gone off well for you. They must be having a tracking system,,but whether it is on real Time basis or not I do not know. I think it might be with a data dump, because I'm sure they put the NI number to see if we have claimed any benefi...

Its a good PEO Kevin....to me its the best because they check the documents before they take a payment ! So does save some monies if you are not sure of your documents. And just to let you know abt the HMRC checks, the CW did notice my payments from my company accounts to HMRC...so I'm sure they hav...

ILR Succesful - Solihul, WP + Tier 1. Long absence

Hello Guys I'm indebted to this forum as interacting with people, getting suggestions and reading other pots helped me secure my ILR today. My special thanks to cs95tdg and uksettlement , who guided me initially reading my posts and also responding to my posts. I'd also like to thank kevin24 for mak...

Yes uksettlement's enquiry intrigued me to write to UKBA.

I'm in a similar situation & will apply next week at Solihull.

Enjoy your ILR and now start planning for your wife's and lil one's visa !

Hit the back button from this screen and in the grid you would read sticky notes...which means topics that always remain on top. There is a topic where a member has posted an employee letter format

Well your case looks straight forward to me. Provided that u meet other conditions using points based stuff like salary etc....you don't need to provide any absence letter or evidence as u were on Tier 1. There are loads of posts in the forum similar to your situation read through. As a tier 1 immig...

Why don't u list ur absences for five years in 12 month blocks, with visa status. Easier with the dates & visa status to advice

Ex: if you are applying on 2 march 2013....

Year 5: March 2,2013 to March 3, 2012 - xxx days outside uk and visa status.....
Year 4....and so on

In terms of tax, it shouldnt be a problem with taking low salary. Thats is the regular norm when you run your limited company mopst of the times. Bear in mind, you would have still paid Corp tax thats a chunk of the dividend you would have earned. As long as you have the points for income which is y...

If you haven't travelled outside UK with the WP visa, then the letter is not required

YOu dont need an employer letter if all your absences were in Tier 1/HSMP visa and obviously obliging the fact that these were less than 180 days in a year. During this 5 year period, if you were on WP/Tier 2 - then you would need an employer letter for that period to certify your absences from UK

Tax evasion is a criminal offence and as a director you will liable for it

Like fomsand1 suggested, call up HMRC and check for outstanding corp tax to pay. If your company has closed down and there is no active bank account, explain them the situation and ask for help. I'm sure they will help you

Well this is what the UKBA guidance says "Evidence in the form of a letter from the employer setting out the reasons for the absences, including annual leave, must be provided." So I'm not sure if there is a way around it, unless someone has had any experience about it. May be a question for the Gur...

From what I understand PEO's are linked to HMRC and DPW.

When you say Tax is due - is it Corporation tax or VAT ?

Did you get any reminders from HMRC to pay this tax ?
